Seeing as that’s their only big defensive cooldown I feel like they should have a talent to protects them from shattering throw.
Speaking as a ret here, I’d say don’t let the bubble break but also don’t let them do full damage inside it.

Any pally that thinks wings bubble to do damage is a good idea deserves to have those cheeks clapped. Same for anyone that just stands in that without using a defensive.
Maybe, except in that case the pally isn’t the one getting clapped. 
If I see wings and I stand there and make no effort to get away I deserve the cheeks to be clapped.
Last night I had a Troll drop out of the air bubble and wings I leaped away popped his bubble taking a bit of damage than charged a mob healed off of it than clapped that pally cheeks with ease.
Now I’m not saying that’s how it will be everytime and I got clapped in a duel with one several times last night but it was always a close fight never a blowout.
P.s. This is my new toon since Percivall is retired.

Yep I felt it was time to hang up the cloak as Percivall he’s been my main since vanilla and I just figured it was time for a change.
I feel that. I’m forcing myself to play a caster dps next patch instead of the usual melee.
What professions for wpvp in df?

I still think engineering is the way to go for world pvp and I always like mining.
Going caster is going to be a huge change. I do have to say picking a new class to play has breathed somewhat of a new life to the game.

Personally, I feel okay with MD being the “bubble breaker” as it makes classes with immunity defensives feel better. It shouldn’t be so easy to just pop that massive CD.
In the past any Pally that bubbled in PvP was just instantly targeted by every warrior in the area for “lol no” shattering throw.
