How is it not a possibility? It’s an even easier (and in many opinions, better) possibility. Yeah, and massive lag or disconnects caused by millions of people in the starting zones wasn’t part of the launch experience in vanilla, so not implementing sharding wouldn’t be replicating the launch experience. Sharding was never used in Vanilla. Therefore, it should never be used in Classic.

I DON’T WANT ANY SHARDING WHATSOEVER. It’s one of main reasons I stopped playing WoW. It helped kill the game I once loved.

Sharding eliminates the need to group up together and create friendships - which is the very foundation of Vanilla gameplay.
