I forgot to mention, I never got to try tanking Solarian before the phase ended and my focus shifted to the feral druid. But I see Solarian as a total candidate for shaman tanking too since she seemed to hit like a wet noodle.

Healing logs are just so pointless to look at if you want to see if a healer is good or not.
Itās not a meme when people say healing logs donāt matter.
So if one healer is doing 10% of the heals and other 90%, itās a great team?
I understand that they donāt matter nearly as much, but a healer whose getting greys and greens is probably doing something wrong or their group is stacking heals.
Or the raid is miraculous at not taking damage.
The log you keep harping on had every healer in the fight with a grey parse.
And no one died.

Hereās my favorite. Top healer parsed a 9. Highest parse of any actual Healer was a 10. I pulled an 8. My gear was amazing

Healer parses mean jack and crap.
Tank logs are a bit memey too. If you look at top parsing tanks take a look at the dtps portion, these dudes are taking stupid levels of dmg to make a number slightly higher for no benefit to the raid at all.
I disagree only somewhat. There are definitely top Tank parses in the 95+ category that are risking sudden 100-0 death to get those parses. Plenty of Druids pulling 98+ parses do so while being able to be critically hit, and just hope for the best (or donāt care, IDK) while they stack more and more.
That being said, you can parse pretty high as a Tank and not jeopardize your run. Adding 100-200 DPS isnāt anything to sneeze at and the shorter the fight, the less Healer mana is a concern, and for so many of these fights no Healer should be letting a Tank dip for long. Expect this kind of skin-of-your-teeth gearing to be even more common in Wrath where Healer mana truly becomes nigh-infinite and the game requires all of them to just smash keys nonstop.

Your very wrongā¦ I am a shaman tank, Iāve tanked all phase one and most of phase two. Shamans do cap out at threat, this is true.
But shamans can 100% tank illidian fire ele. I am tanking one this coming reset. I have tanked them on my warrior, and literally the difference between the two are 2% dodge and 600 HP. Thatās about it.
As for threat, pvp gear is your friend, and you can DW, so most of your threat is going to be from WF. Frost shock is nice, especially at a 5 second cd, but still not your main threat.
No tank in full FR can keep geared DPS from pulling from them. Plain and simple, our complete bis feral tank still has issued holding threat with a MD at the start.
I donāt have problem with threat in FR gear >.>, weāre only talking 5 pieces of gear swapā¦ are you tanking the first elemental killed or the second?
