Shaman question

was thinking about making a shaman, but have a few questions… does shaman still have the different totem sets t hat it did in wotlk? i think there’s 4 sets that consist of around 4 totems? is it still this way? Also, can you keybind a set? or can you only keybind specific totems? ty guys

Shammy still has the totems and they are a set of 4 but they are slightly modified. Some in a good way others not so much.

The one change I really dislike is tremor totem. It now is what 15 secs or something w/a cool down. It used to be a drop it and it functioned like the rest. I think they also removed cleansing totem. They also changed some totems that were only party wide to raid wide (or that might have been in last part of WoTLK).

Shammy is fun, esp elemental.

Not much different Imo on totems.

For keybindings – I guess you can. This is the one very few things I click to drop and to retract.

Yes to all the above.

Basically they didn’t want a set and forget totem that cancelled several mechanics. It is what it is. They mellowed out several shaman abilities but added some new features as well. Like with most things it has pros and cons.

I still enjoy both restoration main and elemental offspec so sticking with this as I have since classic. Our glory days have gone but we are still viable and I still enjoy playing it

I 100% agree with this. What they did was not bad and there were some nice changes… but I will confess I do miss the old tremor and cleansing.

Now what they did in DF (which I think started in Legion) was horrible and one of the main reasons I stopped playing retail. There really is no totem mgmt…

I enjoy my totems and the mgmt of them, which I’m sure some think is weird, but it is what makes a Shammy a Shammy.
