Shadows Rising: State of Azeroth Details

You forgot his brother.

Weapons mostly to replace lost or broken and repair damaged ones. Also most War Machimes have metal parts that should be mostly standardized and require minor fitting in the field. So forges working 24-7 during an Armistice does make sense unless there is some sort of clause baring that specific activity ie: WW I banned all Combatant Powers from producing arms and munitions or making further troop movement during treaty Negotiations vice Korea where both sides are still technically at war and actively expand their arsenals.

This has long been something I considered. Even before we knew about the Maw, that the afterlife was probably rough. So adding the idea of the Maw and uncertain time (since time there feels different) can add a lot to said experience.

The Souls going to the Maw for the most part are the Souls taken to the Arbiter and the Souls taken to the Arbiter are the ones grabbed up by Spirit Healers.

The traditional Orc Afterlife consists of the World of Reality and the part of the Shadowlands overlapping reality that Players find themselves in while the traditional Troll Afterlife is De Other Side which has a rift into the Maw put there by Muehā€™zala.

Oh, look! Another power for the Alliance that has no detriment.

I know, right?! Iā€™m so glad we have Void Elves to make Void Rifts for us. We NEVER had the ability to travel conveniently from one place to another by some kind of magical gateway before, or anything.

To be fair, the ability seems to come fairly easily to the entire cast of Void Elves we have seen so far, where as for portal magic the ones who could do it with any degree of plot convenience (as in point to other point not using common ā€˜anchor pointsā€™ such as the major cities) were Khadgar and Jaina.

That said,
In the book though there is a Nightborne who similarly makes a short portal hop across Orgrimmar for an urgent matter so they also have a similar ability as the Void Elves. Either way, Iā€™d argue the Void Elves / Nightborne seem to have a more ā€˜convenientā€™ portal ability than other groups currently have through void gates / telemancy.

Iā€™m quite torn,

Is it cute, funny or cringe? I have hard time deciding. I wonder how others feel about it.

It really isnt, jaina portaled everywhere since vanilla, really grasping at straws here

That was kind of his point though.

Not that I entirely agree with it. Tomes in Dalaran make it evident that portal and teleportation magic are something which novices of magic are taught about and given warnings and etiquette about as if they can already do it at their level.

bwonsamdi is the only true god of azeroth! bwonsamdi is the only true god of azeroth! and is a local god!

Those books generally also show how many ways there are to mess things up when using those portals. Iā€™d argue those books show that thereā€™s enough ā€¦ difficulty with doing it flawlessly that doing so with such pinpoint accuracy and speed (like Jaina and Khadgar) is generally only available to high level mages, not the apprentice.

Also, again, Void Elves and Nightborne both seem to have exceptional teleportation abilities compared to what weā€™ve seen elsewhere. Though some of the bigger acts later in the book did cause a substantial degree of strain on the caster in question, they were still able to do so.

All in all, Iā€™d say that the Horde and Alliance both have strong teleportation abilities with their new allies that come to them more easily than traditional dalaran-centric magic practices can afford.

(Iā€™m not really trying to argue here, just clarify. Though if I can add my own opinion I donā€™t think anybody can accurately state that any void-elf power is ā€˜consequence freeā€™ based on the corrupting nature of their powers that they are fighting against.)

Trolls call random things gods. Some Troll called Hakkar a god, too, and Bwonsamdi has us beat him up in the Shadowlands, too. Which, is fair for Bwonsamdi to figure it would be easier for us to do it, since we beat him Bwonsamdi up in Dazarā€™alor, too.

Nice.

Hey, just like I told Zahirwrite.
:sunglasses:

the elves stopped worshiping their traditional loa deities to worship an alien goddess who does nothing for you! Hail bwonsamdi!

Dude there are infinite shadowlands realms. Weā€™re only visiting five of them.

Cringe. It was cute for like 1 day after the cinematic. Now itā€™s just beating a dead meme.

The Void Rift Alleria used caused explosive pain to Turalyon on Argus while Xeā€™ra was aliveā€¦

Xeā€™raā€™s hate of the Void seems to ultimately be the source of pain for Light users contacting itā€¦ Her death stops this pain incident it seems.

Xeā€™raā€™s Light also didnā€™t cause Illidan pain in his Novel yet definitely caused Pain when she tried to Lightforge him so her will definitely influences how Light reacts to Cosmic Forces.

Light and Void/Twilight/Shadow feel alien to each other while Fel and Void repel each otherā€¦

It seems as if there is no direct opposite to Light! Anti-Light does not exist! Anti-Void(Anti-Nothingness) is Fel(which is Everything as Xhulā€™horac puts it)!

The only thing that would react adversely to Light would be the Darkness of Kingdom Hearts which unlike WoWā€™s Shadow isnā€™t Nothingness but specifically Anti-Light!

Yes, I realize that. So what are the chances that oneā€™s family all land in the same place when they seem very niche? Probably astronomically low. And stating he is happy with his family, Saurfang at the end didnā€™t seem like someone who enjoyed war and glory, with his brother and son still displayed. What about his wife.
