This is what it comes down to.
Tyrande demands humility and compensation from the Horde, or they face total anihilation. She is done playing around, listening to empty words and cowardly tries to wiggle out of the responsibilities.
This is where the NEs are standing and what is expected from the Horde.
Of course it is metaphorical but it indicates that not less than that is acceptable.
So it will come down to the Horde having to bow down in humility and shame before the NEs to attone for their sins.
This or extermination. âThey will come for you and they will make you taste the same ashâ.
These are Tyrandes words.
The words backed up by Maiev and approved by Malfurion.
Beside Shandris there is not a single NE left who is even seeking peace.
That would certainly depict the Night Elvesâ evacuations and how well they fared against the Horde during the War of the Thorns as far more effective than a lot of posters have been interpreting at least.
Agreed. If it were 5000, 10000, 25000, etc. I think Tyrande would have used that number just to impress upon them the scale. Makes no sense if it was more than 1000 to just say 1000. Thatâs my take anyway.
For comparison - though, it is of course a foolâs errand to trying to ascribe population numbers to any race in WoW, but that said, Iâm going to make that mistake right now as well - we do have this quote in Azsuna from this quest:
Nightwatcher Thaldrys says: Ten thousand years of damnation for ten thousand elves.
If the population of Narâthalas alone is ten-thousand Elves, the over all population of the Night Elves in Kalimdor must have been far more than that.
I am pretty sure the âthousandâ is jus a stylistic device for rethorical purpose and not an actual number to imply to Thrall a very much nearly impossible task to be fullfilled to make up for the crimes.
No idea how you come to that conclusion you just mentioned âŚ
Because it is. Itâs a metaphorical number to impress upon Thrall the sheer amount of dead Night Elves, and the impossibility of the task, without coming across as wildly hyperbolic, like her saying âmillionsâ. Itâs not meant to be an exact headcount.
That is what I was implying, she could have said millions or hundreds or whatever else. It is by no means in any way connected to any number or even range of numbers.
It was just used in a way so it sounds good.
Like â1001 nightsâ or such ⌠it just sounds better than 101 nighst or a million and 1 nights.
But it is rediculous and pretty much stupid to try to use that as a hint for how many elves have died in Teldrassil.
Spoiler: more than 1000.
Yea; this never made any sense to me. Itâs the one and only source of his eyes ever being green. They are not green in game, and in the lore a big deal is made about his eyes changing to gold over time signifying his growth in druidic power.
We have literally years of built up story that specifically mentions his eye color, as well as in game examples. And then a single cinematic that goes against it, is never mentioned, nor shown again. I chalk it up to more BFA was pure laziness and they couldnât even be bothered to get something as simple as an eye color correct.
Each Alliance PC was given the task of saving just under a thousand in Darnassus during the Burning. With the exact number of PCs there probably always going to be nebulous, Iâd say a safe ballpark to start in is at least a couple thousand. Plus, since a few of the spirits we see in Ardenweald are from Teldrassil, not Darnassus, it also seems like those living in the outlying areas didnât make it to the city in time to evacuate.
Well that is deffinately green. You can see it at the edges where the texture is not covered by the glow effect.
Unless you have a red-green blindness ⌠probably.
