Din’t Void Form idea concept came as a result of Warlocks losing their Meta (before the DH obvious class mechanic that is lol)… to make other classes more fun to play?

Well, except for the period when discipline was DPS…

Omg I remember in MoP how Discipline was a DPS tank… if I remember correctly.

NOTE: I be honest, one of the few things I (and my real life friends) really dislike about WoW is how they keep changing DRASTICALLY classes… it just doesn’t feel great… (IMO)
I wish it was like GW2 were they just add Elite Specs to change the flavor a bit but you still keep your class mostly intact and can come back to it or mix it up when ever you want to try another play style with the same class… not just:
“Here try this new changes… its mostly new… and you don’t have a choice”

Hey your not alone, I was a big fan of Meta Warlock, love Druids transformations, main a DH and so you KNOW I still love Void form… :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I just wish players could keep playing, with what they preferred, I know a lot of online friends who still miss the old classic Shadow Priest… and rather not be force to the “change” each expansion.

Wow. I thought the exact opposite when I quit fury to switch to arms after about 8 years as fury.

This just in… mages, pallies, and druids are now the only classes in the alpha forums to be getting blue posts and updates for their feedback. Did I mention that mages are also getting Phoenix Flames back?

It must be nice maiming a favored a class.

Well, I do like void magic better than shadow magic, though. In the aesthetic blue-ish/black thematic rather than just purple.

But all the things it had in MOP seems it was so cool…

lol all we got was a messed up version of shadow word death and some other spell and our class is still horribly broken / makes no sense.

LEGION IS OVER BWIZZARD TIME TO GET RID OF VOIDFORM.

Fire just got a baseline phoenix flames

Warcraftrealms data shows priest is the least played class next to Shaman.

Oh? Do you remember in WoD when Ion told Warlocks that, “We’d rather you not play Demonology right now”?

That was verbatim his rebuttal to Warlocks having a completely and obviously gutted and broken spec.

Im just saying, I don’t put anything past em now. I used to be a White Knight and I rode hard but I have learned since Activision the soul of Blizzard is gone.

is the driving concept behind anti-Voidform being pro-Devouring Plague? Like, the “Biblical priest calling plagues on his enemies” thing? Or what is exactly wrong with voidform? Oh well I don’t care enough to read the whole thread I’m sorry I hope and wish you the best for Shadow spec and yourselves

Shadow needs help desperately and the legendary system isn’t going to fix them.

The entire system for shadow priest is… build insanity, spend insanity on voidform, repeat. It’s incredibly boring, there is nothing else to spend insanity on, the last 3 talent rows for shadow should only include the 3 priests take. There’s no reason to use the others as they aren’t conducive to the play style. At least in WoD there were different play options. You either built a DOT play style around devouring plague or you went mind blast mind spike build. Both were very fun and engaging play styles. Now it’s like a bobbing water bird could play shadow.

Legion shadow was the most fun I ever head, BfA shadow is ok, but not nearly as good since s2m is awful and you lost all the artifact perks that made staying in VF as long as possible REALLY good.

Exactly. I mean, sure, Rage/Focus is pretty much the same, but at least they aren’t all about rush rush rush due to their much slower decay rate. They also use that resource to power almost all their abilities. That makes Rage & Focus actually enjoyable to work with.

Insanity is all about maintaining a single buff. Now had it been something like you had a couple builders, popped void form, modest decay, much like Rage & Focus, and then say 3-4 spenders. And once you ran out of insanity … you’d start it all over.

Sure, it wouldn’t be a “unique” playstyle but … unique is not always good. You don’t need EVERY class to have its own unique and customized resource system. I think that is what has ruined a lot of classes is that Blizzard things they need a gimmick on resources to make the class fun. And the end result is anything but fun.

Some may have complaints with the theme change, but I believe it’s mostly due to mechanic and playstyle change.

I don’t mind going the whole “cuckcoo void cultist” route, but the game play isn’t as fun as it used to be.
