I don’t remember saying anything about having a problem paying Blizzard for a product I enjoy. If they had a cheaper option to only subscribe to classic and not retail, I’d do that. The way I see it my subscription is for classic and retail is just bonus content I don’t care about that comes bundled along with it.
I wasn’t specifically replying to you
My comment was directed at Lluagor, so I guess that makes two of us.
Just started up classic again
Pros:
World Defense
Level 60s helping out with campers
Constant WPvP in every 30+ zone
RP
Recognizing players like ‘Cringekid’ also a con
Cons:
Corpse runs
No mogs
‘Cringekid’ camping all the leveling zones
You say lots of silly stuff. Your aversion to classic has reached a point to where it’s bizarre. You don’t need to defend retail like it’s your child lol…
That being said, there is obviously no correlation between how old a game is and it’s quality. In many cases here, and in life, less is more. Just because a game has evolved for 15+ years doesn’t by default make it higher quality than its infantile form.
I don’t know if its Stockholm syndrome, but it is rather odd to think that someone who started a thread about how much retail sucks would be so actively opposed to the idea that anyone is having fun on classic. Maybe it’s fomo, I honestly don’t know. I’d personally just counter his argument with the Simpsons analogy. Their first season was rough around the edges but still classic. Their next couple seasons were incredible, their next few seasons saw a sharp decline in quality and were just resting on the good times that came before, and in their current state they’ve overstayed their welcome and actively embarrass anybody associated with them.
Game hasn’t been good since Wrath tbh.
Hey Jim,
You should join the Moonblade Sentinels. They’re a quality RP-PvP Kaldorei guild.
Feels like a trap.
That’s where I’ve been for my WoW needs.
I know there’s always a lot negative feedback for a new expansion, but I agree with the criticism. It’s been a escalating problem each recent release.
While it’s true that World PvP is very much possible if two parties have the motivation to go out and make it happen… it doesn’t matter. The average player including myself view the current zones as divided empty husks, and finding PvP shouldn’t feel this forced.
In comparison…in the past (MoP rest in peace my child) I could fly to timeless isle with no way of opting out of getting camped at a flight path or graveyard. I had a world defense in my chat box to look at 24/7 with a unique Emerald Dream-only player base to fight and build rivalries with. That made it special.
In my opinion a combination of poor company vision, deteriorating end-game systems, and a lack of passion in general for what made our realm great have made it this way. I’ve always been a die hard World PvP fanatic. I don’t like jumping on a hate bandwagon, but it’s painfully obvious how bad it has been.
Could not have said it better. My thoughts exactly.
