Shadowlands: Take a Day Trip to Tazavesh, the Veiled Market

nope, see for yourself on the ptr and nope please do not skip the inbetween, if anything update it would lose glimpses of other realms in the SL during the trip, unvisited realms

They haven’t invented those other realms yet. Sounds like a 9.2 thing…

Huh?

Dungeon looks amazing though.

So is this going to be like Kara and Mechagon where there’s no M+ variant until 9.2? If so RIP this piece of content.

Looks pretty good like most wow dungeons, definitely one of the strong points of this game

Would have loved to see something different in addition to bringing the usual goodies though. Game needs diversity badly

and it will only take you 7 weeks of farming some 8 new currencies to get that battle pet thats a reskin of the rooster from westfall!

You should totally make those portal rune things into portals instead of having to take a flight path everywhere, though.

Weird. I thought you quit working at Blizzard a long time ago. Where’s the candle?

noooooo thats boring

Tazaveesh is, as far as I understand the lore, not in the Shadowlands. It’s constantly hopping around in the spaces between the various planes of existence, which is why nobody has ever been able to find it unless invited.

One of the views we see in the instance is a dimensional hub with dimensional ships jumping to a number of different worlds. The Menagerie is stocked for instance with Core-Hounds taken from Azeroth and there’s weapons taken from demonic worlds. There’s also cybernectic gnomes working in the employ of the Cartel apparently. Lastly, some kind of Old God stuff seems to have ended up here too.

I guess we’re supposed to believe Brokers have secretly been visiting Azeroth and Draenor all along, following in our footsteps and picking up the pieces we left behind after tearing through the raids. Bit of a stretch and essentially a retcon to existing lore, but it is what it is.

Setting aside the lore and what is a pretty big retcon, the dungeon is actually super fun. Played it on the PTR. I feel like Team 2 drank a bit too much of the Hearthstone Koolaid when it comes to “DAE Murlocs and Pirates?”, those bits actually seem pretty forced, but the first wing is fantastic and the last boss is also a really solid final encounter that has some teases for 9.2.

Another Anima sink?

As far as we know, yup. Which is really a bummer.

But unless the Murloc section of the dungeon gets some sort of redesign, we’re going to get one great M+ dungeon (The Market / Part One) and one that makes you want to tear your hair out (Dimensional Hopping / Part Two). The layout of the Murloc area and how 80% of the enemy forces are all front-loaded before the first boss (of the wing) is super, super awkward, and the Murloc pulls themselves are going to be obnoxious to min-max because of the Scaletenders. There’s also like a billion patrolling mobs. This will likely go down as the absolute most hated M+ dungeon if I had to guess, unless they make some serious changes to how it works.

Is this only PTR currently? I am in Oribos at the Innkeeper and do not see the questline. Renowned lvl 40 and lvl 60. The initial post is very unclear.

exotic goods :o do you think they will have a girlfriend for me to fill the empty void that is within my heart?

Wait, who took Nethaera’s candle!?

This new dungeon looks amazing. Looking forward to running it when Patch 9.1 drops.

Is this just PTR until 9.1?

so the dragon pirate is female?

Of course the beard(which was specifically added to a unique Infinite Dragon Pirate Model) makes the Dragon’s actual Gender(rather than the Gender shown to the Crew) suspicious…
