Shadowlands Survey

If only there was some way to ask players in the game… some sort of… support section, where they could post surveys.

Or even out of game… like idk… on some sort of blizzard exclusive games launcher program.

I personally only have 5,321 unread emails. So I think I’m doing pretty well of checking it!

One of the images, I’m not saying it’s the second one, contains a link to the survey.

I’m also not saying that it’s possible to access the survey using said link.

“we want your feedback”

there’s PLENTY of feedback on the alpha/beta forums and not addressed specially for class design.

It’s because of the term, “the loudest baby gets the tit”.

For too long Blizzard has knee jerkingly always only resolved the issues that get cried about the most by people who tend to cry alot.

That hasn’t helped the game go in a good direction.

The silent majority is what they are after. People who play and don’t post on forums. People who just up and quit. People who haven’t already picked a side between the White Knights of Blizzard or the Anarchist Angels of Anti-Activision.

With a survey like this, they can pull from a much more accurate batch and decide if they need to fire Ion or give him a raise.

People only tend to speak up when they are angry and usually by then they are already on their way out of the door, they just wanted the company to feel a bit of pain like they probably did feel financially/intellectually for feeling stupid enough to buy their product.

That’s why forums are a bad place to get design tips. People who don’t like something, or even every single little tiny thing, rarely ever have any better ideas to offer as solutions. That’s why we have such a convoluted game that feels like it’s being managed by three different shifts, none of which ever communicate with eachother regarding the direction they are going.

No doubt. I try to be neutral. I am only human. Blizzard wants to much of our precious time and quite frankly, I have better things to do than live in this game.

We are getting older, and we have less free time on our hands. Blizzard is catering to the youth, however I am willing to bet that people pushing 40 or older are their main demographic players. At least in this game.

Correction: YOU are choosing to interact with them and fill out the survey.

The only interesting part is that you think this nonsense.

And yes, it’s kind of funny you made this post and it might turn out to be a keylogger or something else. Yea i got a phishing email the other day from corp.blizz or inc.blizz or some kind of garbage like that. Of course i don’t bother with that garbage for precisely the reasons brought up in this thread. On the off chance it is actually from Blizzard it’s even more funny that you would cry and complain about them asking for feedback.

Putting aside any comment on your behavior in posting this.

Please refer to the following post stickied at the top of the forum.

Links do not require butchering. Encase them in ` (grave mark the other thing on the ~ key) and you can post easily used links at any trust level.

https://icanhas.cheezburger.com/ as an example.

And this is the entire problem isn’t it. You didn’t get one. This thread would not exist and you would not be making a fuss about ‘every’ opinion counting if you had got the survey and not her.

I wonder if she even knows you are on here making a fuss about this.

Less rewards, more restrictions, more time gates, increased difficulty, increased price. Not sure why they expect most people to keep subscribing.

The problem is obvious. The developers want to keep pushing the game further and further and in doing so they demonstrate a complete disconnect and lack of respect for the bulk of their customers. I’m willing to bet the leads have nothing but contempt in their hearts for the average person who contributes to their salary.

You’re literally crying over the most ridiculous thing to cry about.

Blizz has done this before. And told people not to share it (which pretty much guarantees someone will). On the one hand, LoL  But on the other at least they’re soliciting feedback from additional sources. So hey, maybe there is hope some of these design choices will be adjusted.

#PullTheRipcord

Not sure if we should be happy they are asking for additional feedback, or worried they are asking for it so quickly into the expansion.

Yeah, this is where I’m at too. Have played since the very start and no survey for me. Oh well. I guess they just figure I’ll keep playing. :woman_shrugging:

Random sample surveys are the only ones that reveal what actual players think. Forum posts will reveal what players think but not how many agree with any particular opinion. Forum posters are not typical, and the forums are infested with trolls with agendas.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all, since they have dribbled out announcements of so many changes that sounded bad over the last year.

In every way possible and if OP is telling the truth! which we will never know, Blizzard must be losing subs at a fast rate. Serve themselves right if true.

Can’t say I disagree. Maybe, there is no magic left in this game.

if a majority of people think rent is too high, does management lower it?

if a majority of people think the complex should put a jacuzzi in every unit, does that happen?

not all business decisions should be made by customers.

I’m 41 and work 45-ish hours a week. I play at least 4 hours a day, 5-6 days a week depending on the week. May want to swap out “we” for “I”.

This. The idea that the likely infinitesimal proportion of players who interact with the forum is in any way representative of the whole is laughable…not to mention, it’s quite easy to develop a bias if you lurk here at all.

I disagree. Having more or less time on our hands is largely a product of decisions we chose to make, and for a lot of people, we have more time when we get older.

For example: In college I not only worked full-time but had a full-time course load. That’s equivalent to two jobs. After college, I’ve only ever had one full-time job at a time. Even with the occasional 60-70 hour week, that’s still less hours of “work” per week than I dealt with in college.

Example #2: When I lived at home as a young person, we were a family of 5. My share of the house chores was scaled up for a family of 5. Doing chores now, in a family of 2, takes less time, even if I’m responsible for half of the workload.

Ah, a person of culture, I see

Same. I started playing ~6 months after launch, have only ever let my sub lapse twice that I remember (once due to a 3-month ragequit back during Wrath, once due to forgetting to update my payment info and the card expired…oops) and I’ve never received a survey. I have received some Beta invites, though.

Bingo.

That makes sense.

6 minutes on sub. peace out
