I believe, that if someone is going to say something, then they should mean it.
You do realise that similar to things like beta access Blizzard uses targetted communication so they can get feedback from specific groups?
That is not shadey. Sharing the survey and allowing increased traffic lines from people with unspecified experience confuses data acquisition.
If I wanted to know how new players were feeling about the game I’d survey them, if I wanted to know how long term players who have been playing since 2004 feel about the game then I’d want to survey them, if I wanted to know how people who have returned after a long period of inactivity feel I would target them.
Can you understand know why they might not want it spread?
It’s perfectly legitimate tool in business and marketing to target focal groups for specific data so you know how your product is hitting.
This isn’t some big conspiracy.
And if people agree to keep things confidential then they should as well…
Might as well get a chair that helps you up out of it since that’s inevitable, maybe someone to chew up your food.
If you let age stop you from doing something, any hobby really, you never had much passion to start with.
Sharing an opinion is not the same as sharing the survey. Nor is sharing the fact that you filled out a survey.
Example. She got the survey, I didnt. She filled it out, I didnt. Even though I know how she filled it out, I am unable to fill it out, because I did not receive one. So, me knowing she got one, and knowing how she filled it out, did not affect her survey. They still only received her answers for the survey, not mine, because, I did not receive the survey.
I have some years left before I get that far along. Don’t worry, if you’re lucky, you will reach them as well.
Your whole initial post was about them not wanting people to “share the survey” and how it was shadey.
I was pointing out why they ask you to agree to those terms.
No, it doesn’t.
If they are looking for a balanced picture, they will be sending out the surveys to a group of random customers they feel are representative of the entire customer base. Otherwise, it is a waste of THEIR time and money.

It isnt about passion… It is about responsibility. When we were younger, living at home, we had less time consuming responsibilities. We could get out of class, race through our homework, and spend hours after, and on weekends playing the game. However, when you have a job, or two, or however many, bills to pay, kids to raise, pets to look after, your own house to clean, grocery shopping to do, and all of the things that come along with being a functioning adult in the world, you have less time than you did then when your parents took care of the majority.
Whatever helps you feel better
Which makes sending feedback to the place they provided beforehand, a waste of our time. (Not really money, but definitely time)
Well, there was that one time in Vegas…
Well, if you are an adult and not taking care of life, or relying on someone else to do it for you, good for you. There is another creature that imitates that behaviour. Clinging to a host to sustain itself. It is known as a parasite.
Yes, we are very impressed!
Way to go!
You know you play the game less if you put in the effort to get good, just a thought for your busy adult life that only you are living.
Anyhow, time for bed, shoulda gone to sleep a while ago…

What? What place? Before what?
Oh, I dunno, the forum section entitled “Feedback”?
Awesome. Thanks.
And you think they are mutually exclusive because…?
Sad. Age is not a crutch.
The sad thing is the loyal customers that stood by blizzard are now the ones getting gutted by these chores…
I’ve been playing WoW since release, I’m 32 in 2 months I’ve literally spent half my time on this earth playing a game I love, been their through the good and bad times, the problem is the most loyal customers that are a lot of us, are older not many of us have time to sink in to be even semi viable in regular low end content.
Castle Nathria groups are pushing ilvl 180-195 as a requirement, with the way loot drops, some people may never see 10/10 Normal…
I’m lucky as I have time due to health reasons (if you can say lucky), I spent 4 days farming M+ 5 hours a day, to receive on item… one god damn item…
WoW has turned into a shadow of itself, this was the first expansion ive ever played where that “new game feel” only lasted for a couple days.
Nothing fresh, no new race, no new class, the armour we have gotten during leveling is barely anything, everyone looks the same just re skin colours. Balance is at its worse… covenants they say is a huge success, I tend to disagree. Most people in ever class are going best choices while those who pick aesthetically are gimping themselves.
People don’t need another job, they play WoW to escape the harsh reality we all do daily, even for me I feel it’s like a job.
I was in the Beta since the beginning, we all left great feedback we warned them this was happening, although I left a lot of feed back for Shaman and Warlock (Demonology), they never listened.
The game is just how we warned what would happen on release… forums are filled with nerf this buff that, unsubbing posts.
