I came to find out recently that the Threads of fate was removed from the game. For whatever reason they did that, the problem is that now we need to do the entire campaign of shadowlands, which take hours to do, in every single new alt to be able to access the SL raids, which, in my opinion was a mistake. They could at least give players the portals to Zereth Mortis and Korthia regardless, to all players who have already completed the campaign

Iāll never understand Blizzardās philosophy with the shadowlands campaign. By far the most disastrous campaign insofar as technical decisions are concerned.

Yeah, you should really only have to do the linear campaign once per warband. I see no reason on earth to make every new alt play through every zone in order other than Blizzard not wanting to fix threads of fate to work with lower level characters.
Shadowlands in general is chock full of āwhy would they do thisā moments. The covenants being tied to player power instead of just being a thematic choice, them coming up with the GUYS WHO CREATED THE TITANS for no reason instead of just giving the shadowlands its own contained history, the four zones requiring a flight path instead of just a portal(Which even cataclysm got right), making players farm Torghast for legendaries instead of making it like Delves are in TWW, everything with the Maw, making Maldraxxus the most boring zone despite it being the coolest conceptually.
Etc, etc, etc.
Nothing but awful decision making, all the way down.

My god, it must be really annoying to have to spend hours doing one of the most boring campaigns in the game, Iām glad I managed to skip it on my main.

I will no longer do shadowlands raids on any new toons. I am thankful that I have 10 + toons already so skipped it all, but until they change their mind no new characters will join them.
That campaign was long, not long because of objectives but long because of crappy rp.
What a flat L take from Blizzard.
We had the optionā¦ that means someone put in the time and effort to design threads of fateā¦
To actively go back in your game and remove things especially things of convenience shows us what kind of company you are and that you have zero respect for players time.

Bastion and The Maw being the introductory zones is what does it, Maldraxxus starts out strong but tapers off, Ardenweald is thoroughly enjoyable from an artistic perspective and Revendreth is just plain amusing at times.

I was able to skip shadowlands campaign at level 60. Have you tried this? Also, with Chromie time there is no requirement to ever go to SL.

Its one of their really unfortunate decisions. You have people really wanting to do things to get mounts and pets and so on, and locking away the ability to play into the expansion in a smooth, quick fashion is just dumb, frankly.
People can go to Dragonflight and the zones and Renowns are there to work on straight away. Yet you canāt get similar access to an older expansion.
There needs to be some serious push by the playerbase to get this situation changed.

Getting this mage to Zerith Mortis has been an on going aide project.
I had no trouble skipping the campaign on several alts.
Threads of Fate is still available to Lv.60+ characters who never set foot in Shadowlands. If you try to level through it using Chromie Time, then yes itās disabled. Why anyone would want to subject themselves to that gods forsaken campaign, Iāll never know.
The āskipā is not removed (the old Thread of Fate LEVELING OPTION is removed where a character could fill the bar doing WQ and killing rares and such in the four zones).
However, the skip is broke as the phasing is broke depending on how and when you created and leveled the character.
Iāve ended up in Oribos after taking the āskip the Maw introā from Stormwind on a lefvel 70 remix alt, and instead of the Fatescribe NPC showing up and offering the skip, been put directly into Oribos in a phase with no NPCs around the table / covenant selection area and no quests other than certain side quests available anywhere in Oribos.
Iāve also ended up in Oribos after doing some WB and rare hunting on a level 80, but stuck in a phase where all the NPCs are present at the start, but the only option I get is to start the quest to go explore all the areas of the city. I do not get offered a skip / choice to pick covenant.
They need to fix all these phasing issues - Hallows End has similar issues trying to get to the event phase of UC on newer characters (the NPC to flip phases never shows up no matter how many different ādo this quest to unlockā work-arounds are completed).
Edit to add: Tried 2 different level 70 remix alts, both started SL quest, one skipped Maw intro while the other played through the Maw intro, both end up in Oribos with all the NPC guards standing at landing point, but phased into Oribos (Fatescribe does not show up in the āgreyā phase as normal when this was current offering the choice to skip or continue) and the SL campaign in journal shows 1/2 (Maw portion green, āArrive in Oribosā in grey). No continuing quests available nor any skip nor any covenant choice.
I wanted to tame one of the wasp pets in Zereth Mortis, but I canāt enter it yet. I did Shadowlands on Chromie time up to Revendreth where I dinged 60 (sorry! it had been a while since I played through it, yes it sucks!) When I reached 60 of course I had to jump over to Dragonflight. So now Iām stuck finishing Revendreath and all that comes after it so I can enter Zereth Mortis to tame a pet. Pretty lame. I think itās bugged for this character because she canāt enter the Maw, or any covenant. Whole of Shadowlands is pretty messed up.

I also took a remix character to SLā¦did the maw skip and it dumped me in Oribos in the same phase you mentioned. Was not given the first quest that leads to Bastion and Iām stuck. I put in a ticket but from what youāre saying even the remix character that did the maw quests still got stuck? 
All I wanted to do was tame some pets but unless they fix it idk what to do. I hope they fix this.
I am feeling this hard. My goblin wanted some of the mech pets in zereth mortis and I made the mistake of doing a few quests on the main campaign and now I canāt skip the rest. Iām salty. 
Who asked for this? Such an unneeded and pointless change. Is it just to force people into playing longer if they want to do old content?

The entire thing about shadowlands is a dumpster fire.
If people didnt had to grind those cosmetics it would probably be one if not the least played expansion. I wonder why people level there still nowdays considering leveling being so easy as it is now.
need souls? go to the maw need 66 souls? well thatās 4 trips to the awesome mawā¦ need anima? well thatās weeks and months of farming for a very small amountā¦
luckily you only gotta do it on one. and get flying earned only onceā thats the killer, the lack of flying there. X_x
now i am fairly certain iāve gotta some alts out there just to unlock their covenants, so thats at least possible. Iirc i had to get Mograineās quest first.
This is partially incorrect, you do not need to complete the campaign , you only need to reach level 60 for the portal quests to appear, also at level 60 the threads of fate option comes back on Rohātal.
If you chose threads of fate at 60 , you will also be able to select a covenent and but a 60 renown skip form the NPC standing next to the flight master in Oribos.
If you want to raid 60 for a bit you can turn experience leveling off at an NPC in the Stormwind keep, to the room at the immediate right of the kings chamber
sorry i forget his name, Ogrimmar has an experience freezing npc too inside the barracks in the valley of strength .

PS: the quest for Korthia skip requires you to say your oath in a covenant first , where as the Zerith Mortis skip is on Talā inara immediately when you turn 60.
