Shadowlands Preview: Character Customization

I would love that! Nightborne are too skinny, and the idle stance kind of ruins the race for me.

While the new character customizations are really cool and a lot of flavor to creating a character, unless you’re zoomed in right up to said character … they really don’t look any different than they do without the customizations.

Before people go stuffing words in my mouth, I’m not saying I don’t like them - nor am I ungrateful for them; however, they really don’t do much for me in the way of “oh wow! Look how much different they look!”

This being said, the tattoos for orcs and eye colorations etc are pretty cool and are probably the only exception to my concern(s).

You can change every single thing about your character at the barber aside from race and faction now.

Idk the tiara is cute q-q

Considering how much mythology has been warped by Bliz already, it would be weirdly out of character for them to be so faithful to the original superstitions. The vast majority of lore is from D&D and beyond, which already warped a lot of fables from Tolken, who himself warped it from folklore. I’m not sure why you specifically do not want the community to get what they want from this.

Enjoy our character customization for months of content

Blizzard add Void Elf / High Elf hair colors please!

The tiara is cute… but not always a good match for every mog (same goes for the new Blood Elf male circlet hairstyle).

If they give Blood Elves a “hair decoration” category for specific hairstyles like the Draenei females got, we could have the option of using, or not using, the tiara/circlet. That kind of freedom of choice is something I’d appreciate.

Check out the female Draenei on the PTR when you get a chance. Selecting certain hairstyles opens up an optional “circlet” toggle, and other hairstyles open up a drop down menu for “hair decorations”. I’d like to see that functionality added to every race/sex to be honest.

Did I miss something on PTR or do humans STILL not have tattoos? And why so few tattoo colours for the races that do get them? It’s basically free to have lots of colours from a dev standpoint.

Another question: does it not smack of rampant sexism that only females in a lot of races get jewellery while males do not? I’d like my males to have piercings and necklaces and stuff.

Although in that vein, why are necklaces/rings/trinkets to be collected for your character but they’re not visible? I always thought that was odd.

After the lackluster model update, I’m not that surprised. At least these ‘new’ features bring back most of the ones that were lost in the model update.

Let’s not forget Blackrock either

Listen Blizzard, maybe you don’t remember these two but uh

They’re pre-existing assets that already make lore sense, and they look cool (in the case of Dragonmaw eyes, really cool)

Plus, Dragonmaw are one of the most chad things you ever made

These skins and the eye color are literally free real estate

C’mon bruhs, you did it for the Orcs.

Looks like Nightborne still have so few faces, skin color, and hair styles compared to all of the other allied races… :frowning:

I think it could happen if they wanted it to happen but whether they would is the question, I would say it could be called super boney though since we will have a boney option anyway. :yum:
