I do hate to be a Negative Nancy but I won’t lie… I don’t care about mission tables. I was actually hoping they’d just remove them entirely… not add another mobile game feature to them.
Or you guys can let us go on the “adventures” ourselves and get rid of the stupid mission table. They’ve never been fun and this looks tedious and boring (to me). I do hope it is completely optional and not required to further progress in your Covenant.
Doing a rework of professions would be a better use of your time. For example, archaeology could be turned into a more adventure type profession with exploration of ruins, setting up dig sites, and participating in group reconstructions. Far more engaging than this is.
Looks more involved than the mission table anyway.

You know at first I thought this was a Mission Table. But it’s not. It looks cool and kind of reminds me of the Dragon Quest Series (Dragon Warrior in the States), and how they handled random combat.
I actually kind of dig this. I hope we can watch the battles play out in real-time, and I think it’d also be cool if we could control characters ourselves in a fashion not unlike a turn based RPG battle system. I mean Pet-Battles allow for that sort of concept already so it couldn’t be ‘too’ hard to create something like that.
Sure there’s the A.I. and we can skip to the end, but what if we could control those NPCs as our party members, ala a Final Fantasy or any golden age RPG - Turn Based Battle? It could be cool and open up a sort of “Final Fantasy Tactics” styled Campaign where you send your troops on missions and they report back etc., sort of like how the Pub worked in that game.
An RPG within an RPG… now that sounds kinda neat.
Worst crap designed on the worst crap… Ion/Blizzard-Activision stubborn and ignorant to the mission table response since its inception - golf clap.
The way it works is you send your followers out for a 4+ hour mission, then when it’s complete get to come back and click “continue” to watch a simulated turn based Hearthstone play by play by play by play. GARBAGE!
Because of the resources (and early gear) it will be another one of those things that the fanboys and blizzard says “don’t do it if you don’t like it” mandatory things to do.
Just from looking at what’s presented. This is just another version of the mission table which was copied from SWTOR just like the Mythic+ dungeons was copied from Fractals dungeons in GW2.

Yes! BfA mission table was the lore-by-Risk method of story telling. Would have really liked MoP style scenarios in lieu of the mission table stories. Could have replaced IE farming as an option for the weekly.
