I just prefer “show don’t tell” story telling so having a solid chunk of a big war happen off screen sucked
No?
More people have a level 2 character than have level 120 too. That doesn’t mean you devote resources to extensive game play at level 2.
They made the mission tables mandatory to enter the storyline. Of course it has more interaction. That doesn’t make it a better lever for player involvement.
While I feel like there were some steps taken in the correct direction, this is ultimately mission tables with extra steps.
I’m pretty sure they were being sarcastic/suggesting that that’s how Blizzard looks at it.
No, player housing is just a dumb idea in general.
In a game where you can actually go an adventures, how are you going to position anything you do at a mission table as “a way to adventure.”
Who you think you’re marketing to? 5 year-olds?
They sounded meh at start but after seeing them in the stream it actually looks like a fun mini game I ll enjoy.
In b4 someone tries to use an addon to do it automatically and then say how boring and unfun it is xD
Some of us enjoy mission tables and don’t use addons to do them for us.
Strange how different people enjoy different things.
I don’t enjoy pet battles at all, but I wouldn’t say the time spent developing them was a waste, because other people enjoy them.
Looks fun, good job Blizzard.
Yes, watch in amazement as the LUA error pops up, and the missions are stuck incomplete due to system bugs! >.>
Also, I’m somewhat baffled why you guys bothered adding the extra steps, when there’s still a time gated element to the missions. If I have to wait 4 hours to complete, I really don’t care and find no excitement watching the simulated “battle” text.
Weren’t three straight expansions of mission tables enough?
At least this didn’t take time out from detecting fun and eradicating them in other areas of the game so we have that going for us.
One of the great things about a theme park MMO like WoW is that there is different kinds of content both for different kinds of players and for different moods of a given player (because sometimes you want to game but don’t want to spend 40 minutes running a key).
I’m know that I’m supposed to come here to whine about mission tables, but I’m down for some mini games in WoW.
I don’t disagree that having options is a good thing. PvE vs PvP. Raiding vs. 5 mans. Normal content vs pets. Got it, and 100% agree.
The trick is keeping them separate.
If I’m a PvP’er, I can level as PvP.
If I’m a PvE’er, then I can do questing and story lines.
Ditto pet battles.
They all progress independently.
The Mission Tables are a pain because other content is gated by having to engage in the those mission tables. You can’t ignore it. You can’t just go on your merry way and do your quests, or PvP or whatever, because you have to wait on this mission or that to finish.
made me laugh ngl
You’re wrong.
Player housing is a waste of development money. You wanna play house go boot up the sims.
sigh we lost archaeology but thank god we have mission tables
Blizzard gave us Mythic+ and now they give us Mission+
Well that’s super childish, but you do you boo
Some of us enjoy mission tables
Nah, you’re maymaying on us, aren’t you?
You really log into wow and think “BOY OH BOY, I can’t wait to click and drag pictures slightly to the right and wait 8 hours!”
There is no way anyone can think that is actually “enjoyable”. AT MOST it’s probably “whatever”, but literally impossible for it to create joy in someone.
