How do I know/how can I check to see if I have downloaded the pre patch for shadowlands? The download was running in the background and I came back to my computer a little while later and the download screen/bar was gone. Is there a way I can double check to see if the download is complete? I’m currently not being prompted with the download icon anymore and I’ve already closed and reopened the app multiple times now. I’ve also restarted my computer. Still not being prompted to download anything…so I’m very unsure.
There are likely additional downloads to come before pre-patch so it may be a good idea to set the launcher options to stay active on the taskbar after the game launches and closes.
If you have background data to be downloaded, you’ll see the background downloader running (download arrow near the “Play” button.)
If you have a normal update, you won’t be able to play (“Play” button greyed out) until the update is done.
So, if you don’t see a download arrow near the Play button, and you can press Play and enter the game, you are good to go for now. Just keep an eye out for future patches and updates.
