Sure if you are a hardcore PvPer, you might feel forced but still you are not being forced to do it. As for the M+ part, just make your own group, make friends or join a guild, end of story.

You don’t need to be a hardcore PvPer to care about actually being able to PvP instead of being 1 shot by mythic raiders.
Mythic raiders don’t deserve to be GM characters just because they do mythic raids, sorry.

WotLK solved these issues many moons ago. It is one of the reasons why I am just waiting for the LK servers some day. It was the WoW I have wanted to play since the day it left.

The most outrageous example of this was probably Drestagath trinket which was kind of an outlier. We sold Wealthyman his from raid.
Which is funny because PvPers were forced to do PvE for some gear, fire mages getting the badge for example.
So i guess it goes both ways?
I’m looking forward to Wrath servers and all the complaints that arena gear has rating requirements to come back.

Oh god yes could you imagine the tears.
All of a sudden the Ralphs of WoW would become real quiet.
Provide evidence that suggests a Mythic raider one shotting someone in pvp excluding corruption (since was earned by any form of content you do).
So people who do the hardest content just because they choose to do it don’t deserve the highest level gear available? keep in mind that Mythic raiding isn’t the only source to get mythic level gear, Weekly vault M+ in shadowlands and high rated pvp gear.
Just to piggy back off your statement, most of the “best” gear for Resto Shamans in BFA was acquired from Arena because it had the highest stat weighting gear for Crit.
So actually, if i wanted the best gear i had to PvP and get 2400 in one bracket and capping each week for my chest.
Man if only Ralph could weigh in on this pushback, would be nice eh.

Well I agree with you that its unbalanced I don’t think its unfair. People who put in the work to get the best gear should be able to enjoy it. If the gear sucks then why would anyone raid mythic?

I agree. Mythic gear is overly powerful. The power gap between it and the next tier is too much. Not to mention a lot of these mythic raiding guilds are are clicks that do not want to let anyone else in. They are the aristocracies of wow, and everyone is kinda sick of blizzard writing the rules too far in their favor. Of course mythic gear should be the best in the game to give people something to aspire towards, but it is gone too far. But someone with one tier lower should stand a decent chance of beating a mythic raider in pvp. The gearing hierarchies sets up too many walls that are nearly impassible unless you are part of their elitist click.
Knock them down a peg and make skill the larger deciding factor again over gear.

I think is funny how mythic raiders are at the same time an extreme minority so their opinion shouldn’t matter, but somehow they are also in every bg, rbg, arena, heroic raid and m+ ruining the experience for the rest of the 99% of the playerbase.
Is really amazing.
The reality is that like you said, they stick to their own group and rarely pug.

Same goes for Arena. I was a Glad in TBC, still enjoy PvP but the way a meta takes over and the mess of balance all these systems are going to create has me wishing there was an alternative to Arena(RBG sucks even more).
I guess they tried with Islands but they just sucked. When the objective is just to kill mobs and/or opposing players I get bored very fast. Same goes for the same capture the flag or hold the point BGs.
They really should of designed smaller scale PvP Warfronts for 5v5 or 6v6 but went the route of mindless PvE mode. This dev team lacks vision or isn’t allowed to do anything outside the tightly scripted box we’ve been playing in for 16 years.
Gladiator gear is better than mythic raid gear in pvp.

Oh ok so your entire post is constructed on the premis that Mythic gear is better than the gear from other sources… Well, since you are wrong and M+ and PVP also give you gear of the same item level then I guess the rest of the post is just a massive waste of time.
While you might make an argument that gearing through mythic raids is faster, that is not the argument you made so…
I don’t, because what you find meaningful “content” I find trash. But I don’t think you shouldn’t get character progression, aka gear, for that trash content. It’s people like you that can only have fun if others don’t.
and prey do tell what a level 13 maghar does for fun in WoW.
i literally don’t care what people do in their time. come raid mythic or don’t. do lfr or don’t.
