Every time I listen to the people who do it, like Preach, they say gear is a means to an end and they do the mythic kills for the achievement. They countersignal this attitude of yours specifically.
i agree with this completely. sorry i misread your post.
i told that person the reward was getting the kills in mythic raiding but apparently the real reason you raid is to noob stomp in random bgs? lololool
To your point about mythic players getting geared and wanting to noob stomp in pugs I mean I won’t disagree that some people probably find that fun and I also don’t think that should be entirely out of the question for them to be able to do if character progression is what they are looking for. There just needs to be an obvious trade-off between the two venues so that players who focus solely on PvP are generally better off against people who just casually PvP. But, you know, if the die-hard mythic raider is geared to the teeth you should still have to fear him. He shouldn’t be a threat just because he only BGs once a month or so.
The biggest issue WoW has faced lately is that the gear inflation over the course of the expansion is extreme. Prior to the stat/level squish a brand new player had like a fifth of a geared players health and maybe like a tenth of their DPS output capabilities. If you rein in the power curve over the course of the expansion you will see less of that.
Another ralph thread that beats on the same topic?
Citation and evidence please.
I guess I take it you don’t know Torghast?
Coming from someone who has done Torghast on the beta, having higher levels of gear is nice and makes the run smooth but its largely irrelevant, why? The anima powers are a way to help you out, even if your gear is not on par or even sometimes trivialize the entire run, depending on luck but even if you fail the run, its not a gear issue, its more about the layout and the RNG of the powers.
The only point I agree on… unfortunately.
While there are less end of dungeon loot, you still get mythic raid level gear from the weekly vault if you do a 14-15+ in Shadowlands, got citation? otherwise this is false information.
Going to echo this from another thread of yours that I posted on.
In short, You are not forced to raid or do content that requires socializing with people, its your choice on what you do with your monthly $15.
for some reason blizzard has catered to the small minority of players, its partly why numbers in vanilla reached a point and never really went up. It’s been shown time and time again people don’t like the raid or die mentality.
Yeah, Ralph has quite literally no idea on anything in Shadowlands.
Good thing he’s blocked any non yes-men.
Raiders demanding receipts of the raiding credentials of people opposed to the raid or die mentality slay me.
Scrublet, why would i blast raiding if I liked it?
Then don’t raid.
Speaking as a mythic raider we don’t care what you do with your spare time. The expansion hands out purple gear like anything these days, god forbid you guys played any other expansions.
If you don’t want to do tough content don’t expect the best gear. People agreeing with Ralph in this thread just want handouts for nothing.
Yawn. Another “you can level battle pets, therefore you’re not FORCED into dragonslaying” post that ignores that most people want to make their characters more powerful, especially relative to the other players they’re put into content with.
Then do more difficult content.
You want something for nothing, lazy.
Sure, if you want to literally be 1 shot in PvP and declined from any M+ group.
lmaooooooooooooooooooooo
Can we please get more 0 rating, 0 key player weighing in on this topic.
Go play a single player game then, a MMORPG might not be for you!
Sure, if they’re RPG challenges. Too much of modern rading is about action game challenges though.
I was able to do WQs with a fresh 50 frost DK pretty easily. Can’t solo the group ones, I suppose. But I’m not really sure why you need to run M+ to do that content.
Guys! Those rank 1 Glads who didn’t do PvE got LIITTERRRALLLLYYYYY ONE shot because they didn’t mythic raid!
It’s true i swear my dads best friend is a R1 Glad.
L M AOOOOOOOOOOO
This this this THIS.
Thank you!! I don’t understand why this is such a hard concept to grasp.
I’m confused by the Ralph arc at this point.
Inflexible covenants punishes those dastardly Mythic raiders, but SL is designed around them. The story is getting confusing.
I’ve been higher rated than you in arenas + RBGs and rating or keys has no baring on whether or not someone gets 1 shot in PvP or not. Nice strawman though.
