Shadowlands Launch Question

I had read that currently if you pre-order Shadowlands you do not get BFA now. But, I wasn’t sure if once it does launch do you get to surpass BFA content and go straight into Shadowlands on launch day? Or, do you have to purchase BFA still and have to pay for two expansions once Shadowlands launch? Sorry if this question has been asked a billion times.

I want to get BFA, but at the same time I’d just wait for shadowlands if i have to buy both.

Thank you for your Internet Tip, I’ll keep that in mind for future Internet doings; not meaning to be facetious. It doesn’t confirm directly though, I was looking out to see if at had been confirmed completely yet or is it just speculation.

Blizzard’s pattern has been to roll the previous expansion into the base game shortly before the next expansion launches. That’s how Warlords -> Legion worked, it’s how Legion -> BfA worked, and I see no reason for them to change this time.

It doesn’t confirm directly though, I was looking out to see if at had been confirmed completely yet or is it just speculation.

With the pre-patch in 9.0, either then or sometime before it, BfA will be free and part of the base game. So you’ll have it anyways.

The level squish is also happening in 9.0, a month before the actual expansion releases. So if you don’t have BfA you’ll still be scaled own to a lower level and can just quickly go the rest of the way to 50. If you wait till then you can skip BfA entirely since you can level anywhere else. But again it’ll be free by then.

Alrighty thank you; currently waiting for more content in classic right now and considered leveling now in retail while they have this buff for 100% increase exp for the off-time between raids.
