PvPers used to be able to earn CP regardless of them doing rated or random PvP, one was obviously slower to get CP and one was quicker and this was fair because everyone can play at their own place and eventually get to the same reward.
Now the new system is the same as the old one with the addition of a rating requirement to get better gear, and this makes absolutely no sense for people who either aren’t playing the FOTM/meta class or don’t want to get into the rated PvP community at all.
RBG premades literally ask for 2k+ rating proof or they cherry pick meta classes and these things make sense to someone trying to push rating, but a casual PvPer whose being forced to get into this is going to be disappointed when no group picks him because of his spec or lack of rating.
This same problem is evident in M+ premades, anything above +7 has people only inviting based off 188+ iLevel and a casual player whose again being forced into this progression path is going to now have to figure out how to fit into this tryhard community that they never wanted to be a part of.
Even the Castle raid premades are cherry picking meta classes and going for optimal picks which leaves out a majority of players who are just trying to progress.
This is all compounded by the fact that loot drops even less now and it becomes an insane grind for a casual player to get a proper gear progression.
They should honestly rename this expansion to Grindlands because that’s what this feels like.
