Shadowlands is Part of Classic Now!

Agreed, they are just making classic into retail.

What kind of logic is that lol also nothing changed in classic lore wise

I mean true, but this was not really the original conception of things at all in the WC3 or early WoW era. There were a bunch of retcons designed to make everything fit or add new content and intrigue to WoW over the years (admittedly by Chris Metzen, who also wrote a lot of the previous stuff). Chronicles was written in 2016 around the time of legion.

Pretty sure originally you just went to the twisting nether when you died (there’s a bunch of references to this in vanilla). The twisting nether was also basically the warp from WH/40K, and the burning legion was basically the chaos forces. It worked in a similar fashion also, where the warp is the source of magic/psychic power but if you use it too much it draws the attention of chaos/burning legion and it might manifest and destroy you (Warcraft was originally a warhammer game that they couldn’t get support from Games Workshop to use the branding, but they’ve still been repurposing things from warhammer forever). but over the years they kept retconning it into more explicit and discrete things until you ultimately ended up with what we got in legion and shadowlands.

Sounds like you all forgot the Shadowlands were eluded to WAAAY before the Shadowlands expansion released.

Pretty sure the Spirit Healers were denizens on the shadowlands and the yrek back to your body has always been within the shadowlands as it has the same “death effect” applied to death knights during their death charger quest which actually states you are entering the shadowlands.

Don’t worry fella, it’s the cannon afterlife for the NPCs

Not yet. That changes with SoD.

Making a raid of a dungeon has little to no effect. Also as I said whatever happens with your little private server esque experience changes nothing about warcraft canon

Sir… this is a Wendy’s

Citations please from Vanilla, TBC or WotLK.

The Shadowlands is where you go when you die. You know, that ghosty grey place you’re in when you’re running back to get your body.

It does actually for our server. Thankfully all that awful writing in Shadowlands, BfA and Dragonflight hasn’t happened and hopefully won’t happen on our servers! We can be excited for a version of Warcraft that isn’t seeping with cringe, retcons, and garbage storylines.

Yea imagine lore changes that happen in a season and then get reset lel. So gullible

Death Knight death charger quest Into the Realm of Shadows pulls you into the same slice of Shadowlands the Kyrians use to usher the dead to the Arbiter. The spirit healers that have been present since vanilla work with the Kyrians to orient them after death. The death effect when the PC dies has always been implied. Again the Shadowlands HAVE existed before the expansion. That word was NOT new for that release

Shadowlands is wow universe’s realm of death, it’s not an expansion, the expansion 9 was named after it. You are just blinded or having tunnel vision. Classic doesn’t have northrend on the map doesn’t mean northrend or Lich King doesn’t exist in classic wow timeline.
Denying shadowlands is like denying reality, which #nochanges tryhards do love.
