To each there own, but now that I have taken a break and delved into a few other games/mmos, it does perplex me a bit that I did stay fixated on WoW for so long.
I would agree that I find the game overrated now. The polish is still there, but the game is dated as hell and the progression path once you hit max level is a complete a snorefest. Its just way too repetitive and time consuming.
In fact, it says kinda the opposite in that most expansions spike REALLY high (because y’know, they’re expansions) and then people get bored and quit regardless of how good (or bad) the expansion is.
If those numbers are accurate, the last time sub numbers were this high was BFA launch. They haven’t dropped to “pre-expansion” levels at all.
I don’t do any M+ and I don’t Raid because being a try-hard only rewards with pride and ego. I have a fun time just playing new characters and getting my covenant sets. The Campaign ones mostly for now. There Is something to satisfy If you look more closely.
This data is somewhat supported by Raiderio, in their video with Phreak the number of M+ runs per character seems to have gone down a lot. Here is Bellular’s comment on it: https://youtu.be/oa-_8pog02c?t=323
I would make the same argument. Are you trying to make something out of nothing?
I never would come flat out and say that no one, or the majority, don’t like or like something. I don’t know. I don’t pretend to know. Sounds like you just like to pick fights.
Why make this post now? They already addressed half of your issues with it.
I wasn’t having fun either and I’m waiting to see what else is coming. Yeah, it took an unreasonable amount of time to address issues with the game, or even acknowledge them, but they did.
So hang tight. I’m assuming they’re saving the best information for Blizzcon “content.”
Heard that… today is the first time I logged in, in over a week. Have about a month of time left… just gonna farm gold for balance for non WoW stuff. SL is a shatshow.
I literally said that I would have said the same thing if someone said everyone liked it.
I just seems like more often than not, more people will be quick to say “no one likes this” or “no one wanted this”. Something a long those lines. Very few and far between are there examples of a poster claiming that everyone likes something or needs something without being facetious or sarcastic.
