Shadowlands is eternal hell and it SUCKS!

A wise woman once said that it’s apparently a place on earth.

So it’s unlikely we’ll run into it in this expansion.

Hang on kid I see your problem right here. See you aren’t a dwarf. That right there gets you in to the Eternal Bar of Valor where you spend your days drinking, fighting, smithing, and occasionally messing with the lobster heads over in Sto’vokor while having Bloodwine drinking contests. …hic!

The Shadowlands being a miserable place where you have no freedom of choice is exactly Sylvanas’ motivation. You’d think more people would be in her camp.

You know there are more realms in the Shadowlands. There are countless different places. I’m certain there are places other people who don’t fit into any of the 4 go to. Like a local bread seller. A Bread seller in Stormwind dies. He was just an regular normal citizen selling bread for a living. He isn’t gonna go to Bastion what did he do that would be considered a heroic champion? He never held a sword or axe in his life never fought anyone why would he go to Maldraxus? He has no connection with nature nor is he any spiritual god why would he go to Ardenweald? And he never committed any grave sins to atone for why would he go to Revendreath?

There’s more places then just those 4 they are just the ruling ones with the important jobs.

Ardenweald serves as an afterlife for some mortal souls who shared a close bond with the natural cycle, like druids and Hunters. Upon arrival, these souls can choose an animal form infused with Ardenweald’s celestial magic and spend an eternity caring for the wilds. This ability is called the Boon of Shapes , originally granted by the Winter Queen to the first mortals that the Arbiter assigned to Ardenweald. In exchange for this boon, souls give a part of their anima to the forest.

Its clear you and Rhielle don’t know how Ardenweald works

Maldraxxus is good for the Horde, though. There they have all the excuse they need to fight others. :eyes:

Joking aside, I guess it’s a bit exaggerated. In Ardenweald you don’t slowly become food for the reborn.

And Revendreth gives you another chance at redemption.

Bastion and Maldraxxus are the sick ones, though.

Probably in the next expansion since this one feels like Act 3 of D3…the next one will be an assault on “heaven.”

And of course Sylvakerrigleah will be stomping around having imbued herself with the infinity heart of the Jailer

Yup, it’s really simple. They remove your memories so you can be a good Uber driver for souls and not bother them with any chat about your own life. They get a silent ride and you get a 5 star rating. Simple stuff!

You are nothing !..but anima and soul gathering slaves.

That was how the script was written originally lol.

Perhaps Shadowlands is our purgatory before going to heaven.

You need to go visit the little steward vacation areas to see them lounging around.

:cookie:

Did you miss the part that says “can” and not “mandatory?” Every soul always gave a part of their anima when they arrived. But no one is sucking them dry and they don’t have to take a form. As evident by other souls around and the fact that is says you can take a form, but not have to take a form.

You’re the one who doesn’t understand.

Then what would be your purpose in Ardenweald if you don’t serve the forest and its inhabitants? You as a player are automatically given the boon without a choice but you did choose to serve Ardenweald, so.

Your choice is the animal shape you want, not whether you want the boon or not.

The whole purpose of Ardenweald is the eternal cycle and anima doesn’t magically appear out of thin air, it comes from mortal souls. /Taps head

You said this and then turn around and say this

MMMMMMMMMM and I am the one confused and don’t get it.

Nothing is fully explained on how everything truly works and its vague…

Anyways take a hot bath or go for a walk, you seem mad.

Yep, been thinking that for awhile. I’d have to drag out my Chronicle’s books, but I’m thinking of that loosely based kabbalah tree of life map of Azeroth, the cosmos, wild gods, old gods, death, shadowlands, ect…

So, what if there’s a bigger creator than the First Ones? Kinda like more planets with life than earth? Do they have gods? I figured this whole afterlife thing was going to be tricky for blizz; not offending any religions, but they’ve done pretty good considering everyone’s idea of an afterlife (or not) is different.

This maybe leading to something with great potential when we get back to Azeroth.

So this actually isn’t the afterlife?

Tried to shorten all my thoughts on this. Hope it made some sense.

they do explain it, you either missed it or it went over your head.

Yes.

I mean, not everybody is a soldier in Maldraxxus. A lot of people are there to support the soldiers. You have lots of academics in the House of Rituals producing Necromancy research, you have folks at the House of Plagues laboratories creating new diseases, you have the stitchsurgeons in the House of Constructs putting the actual soldiers together, etc.

You have even folks like Mama Tomalin, cooking for the army.

Also don’t forget the Wrestlemania Arena at the middle of the place! That’s fun

You don’t become food for the Wild Gods. Souls are Souls, Anima is Anima. The Wild Gods need Anima, not Souls.

They store their memories so that you can be fair and just when you usher Souls through out the Shadowlands.

It just seems stupid and if you think about it, is it really YOU if you don’t remember who you are anymore? O.o

Of course it’s you. You are always you.

But the you of now is never the you of then, whether you have your memories or nor.

I mean, look at us IRL. We learn new things and forget old things all the time. What Kyrians do is just a stronger concentrated version of that.

They also change your body… But we change our body all the time too. 98% of all the atoms in your body are replaced every year.

Basically, no man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man

But, if your a REALLY horrible person, wouldn’t the Maw be the equivalent of heaven? While I’m trudging through the tower, many of those inside there seem to actually be enjoying their time until I mercilessly slaughter them and take their Torghast money.

Of course not lol

When you go to the Maw, the Jailer tortures your soul for eternity and while he does that, he removes all “non-essential” chunks of your soul, to transform your soul into a Shade. Shades are creatures without will that suffer eternally and obey the Jailer’s every whim.

If you are a really horrible person, you would love to be the Jailer. But you don’t get to be the Jailer! You have to be the Soul that gets free will and personality shaved off them during eternal torture!
