To give all classes a change in the content, such as M+, to change how that content is being done.
Overall, it won’t even affect anyone except those group that is used to do big pulls in M+ and might slow down those running old content a little… but really won’t change much.

you don’t even need to turn it into RSV, any MM iteration in the last 10 years plays better than BFA’s MM.
You never post on your hunter like at all and the data is literally in your face. Look at high end mythic raiding and M+. It’s literally the most LEAST wanted melee slot in the game next to sub rogue. It’s infamous in BFA for being a pvp spec thats barely even good next to enhance shamans. Also its absurd that SV didn’t get any meaningful changes in SL which proves blizzard has NO clue how or what to do with this spec. You can’t keep finding positivity in this lackluster spec if we want it to be better. These things need to keep being addressed even if it takes years.
Because character swapping for forum troll isn’t worth it, its a pointless thing. Keep same avatar is a lot more reliable. That line is also often used by players who just lost an argument and are trying to redeem themself.
By your personal opinion and by looking at a fragment of data that covers only top end content… which hardly cover the whole community.
SV is amazing and good, they mostly only need number tuning.
If you look for positivity on WoW forum, you’ve come to the wrong place. This is where every player who complains will come to vent off.
And you know what? They also hardly represent the WoW players. Because the big part of them are enjoying their time and playing the game.
Number tweaking will always happen, aye. Class will always change from 1 xpac to another, aye.
But the problem isn’t always Blizzard, often the community is a big part of that problem.
I like BfA’s MM.
And it doesn’t change my statement. Every ability people suggest they add to MM is from RSV.
Pretty much voice the exact same opinion as Roger Brown from Method, Hunter’s Mark needs to go, like not even off the GCD like period it needs to go. There is nothing fun about that spell, hence why in MoP it just applied as you attacked targets, having to cast it on something doesn’t feel fun, what is amazing at all about this spell?
It will just make the play awkward and annoying.
I’m referring to pve of course, I know this is a different story in pvp, maybe they could just make it a warmode pvp thing?
They can make it a baseline ability.
Remove the bonus it gives to damage and keep that bonus in all our abilities by default.
What you have left is the Mark with the mechanic of keeping “stealthed” enemies visible to you. With this change, all PvP’ers can use it whenever they want to but there’s no need for anyone who does not need that stealth-prevention mechanic, having to keep applying it to targets just to reach the base level of potential damage that we’re tuned to do.
I personally like hunters mark gives the game that fantasy i really like. Just remove it off gcd.
please. for the love of god blizz. make ranger a 4th spec. we can all be happy. put SV ranged again so they will stop crying and smooth out the current melee rotation. its garbage right now because you dont have direction in it. dont throw things at the wall and hope it sticks. remove that dumb clunky crossbow and the owl pew pew. put lacerate back for its dot. come up with some useful talents. flanking moves to baseline. raptor is the builder and then dump with mong and/or flanking. the bomb im not a fan of but blizz seems to love them. i’ll take it if the rest could play smooth.
At least for Hunters’ sake, making the 4th spec is the best solution without ruining MSV and sabotaging class identity. I want to see if the 4th spec would be based around bullets or traps.
My feelings aside, they are not going to make SV ranged at this point in SL development, and the more time you spend complaining about it is the less time you can point out and hopefully get fixed issues with the class as they exist.
Yes yes yes. Focus on things we know need to be changed in our current setup. I get the desire to be meme-y about the spec and development cycle but think about it. Would you, as a worker on a project listen to mindless bad ideas that are not doable for the scope of that project? No. They want focused, measured, actionable feedback on the current state of the Hunter specs. How can they changes things to make them fun in the current framework of the specs?
If SV was made to be Ranged, there would probably be more fans mad about that than it being swapped to melee in the first place. Plus the fact that it’s been made melee means that there’s dedicated effort to keep it that way, making it harder to go backwards than you’d think.
Not true at all given the “popularity” of MSV over the last two expansions. Would we lose some people, of course. However, I am fairly certain that we would get far more back then we lose.
A mistake, once realized and with a simple solution to correct it, can be easily undone. All it takes is for Blizzard to recognize their mistake and make the change.
I really like when people say someone’s opinion is wrong, but their opinion is factual.
It would cause confusion to players who frankly might not have cared about the melee/ranged difference and switching a spec’s weapon approach also changes the gameplay and theme of the spec in a way that’s too soon to change with no input from the community besides a Civil War amongst Hunters. Putting makeup on a black eye doesn’t remove it, but just is a waste of makeup and might make it look worse.
I just wish they’d stop trying to turn marks into RSV.
At least IMO, that was an issue before the change, RSV had had abilities that would’ve looked better in Marks than in SV. There’s an awkward zone with the specs in regard to identity in how BM and SV are conflicting in the use of pets and theme. The 4th spec that could be added could take the place of RSV with different types of ammo or general SV with traps and being an ambusher.
