Shadowlands feels good now … sigh

My strategy (which is a weird way to word it I guess) is to play on my main for each patch to just unlock the key stuff like flying. So I’ll sub for like 1-3 months, and then bail. So once the final patch comes out, I’ll have things nicely set up and relax with my alts and also set myself up for the next expansion.

I have the same plan for FF14, although I’m not very familiar with how SE does things yet. But I think the gaming industry in general has been plagued with the same issue whereby launches don’t go very well. It takes time for them to iron things out. Just look at games like No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk.

Of course there’s disadvantages like not really being part of a community, and it won’t work for people who want to raid and do m+ regularly. But I find this is cost effective for me.

With valor point you can upgrade your M+/0 gear to 272 IF your M+ score is high enough.
There are upgrade NPCs in your covenant base and next to the PVP vendor is Oribos.

Ah! Thank you. That wasn’t clear.

Good to know it’s something I won’t worry about and can happily park my toons once they get their 252 gear and then move on to other things.

I’m having fun by freely switching between the four covenants to finish their story and hit 80 with each. That way I unlock all their goodies without the covenant restrictions.

Since you can buy 40 levels instantly it makes getting the rest of the 40 levels easy. I finished Venthyr story and got to 80 within two days.

Whats the point of doing Mythics though if you are already pimped out? It’s like the hero can never get lucky when slaying baddies in the dungeon you never get an upgrade. I guess there’s no such thing as luck in World of Warcraft.

Shadowlands will feel good come 10.0.

Unrelated to the topic at hand but-

An Elf, a Tauren, and a Forsaken are set to cross the desert of Tanaris. It will take hours on foot and they are given one piece of food to sustain them across the journey.

The Tauren requests a watermelon. It can both feed and hydrate and might just be bountiful enough to see him across the desert.

The Elf requests a cantaloupe. It is like a watermelon, only more compact, allowing him to keep pace with his smaller stature.

The Forsaken looks at the other two and asks… “Can I just have a fork?”
