Shadowlands: Castle Nathria and Season 1 Goes Live December 8

I heard they decreased xp from quests and increased xp from mob grinding.

Yes but it’s release being around christmas will likely exacerbate the issues because rather than getting fixed within a day or so, it will probably stay like that for far longer

Doesnt change the issue. I was keeping it but most teams are more like 25 members. Maybe an offspec tank or healer but playing main role early is also important. if even 26% of the raid cant go, that still puts you under whats needed to raid mythic.

edit: bad math. Its 21% not 26% that would have to not go to stop the raid assuming there is overlap with those that cant go and the back up roles available.

Suppose we will see wont we. Considering what a dumpster fire this year has been some bugs in a video game will be minor. I will survive these tough times in the world…of warcraft

Except Maldraxxus is the second zone you go to and the mobs don’t scale to max level anymore. Do you really want to be grinding mobs for hours and unable to progress the story, which does in fact prevent you from unlocking your covenant at lv60.

I understand what you’re saying I guess I just can’t relate. If I had to choose between waiting a week or replacing someone in a raid because they wanted to see their family I’d just wait the week.

I know you’re going to say that “that’s not how it works in a competitive guild” but that’s how it should work.

They did a new fix AGAIN. So you should be able to cap by just doing the full campaign.

I think it should work that way. Its not flex content and most people get into it to challenge themselves. It should not work that 19 people need to adjust their schedules for 1 because the announced ethos of a company isnt being followed less than a year later.

Because a lot of the fun in raiding comes from progressing week to week. You get to a certain spot, then the next week you get a little further, and so on. The holidays get in the way of that.

It’s like any time you get a new toy, you really just want to be able to play with it for a bit, but in this case you can’t. Like yeah it’s there when you get back, but it’s still a bummer.

what a bunch of moaners people can be. oooh no, that’s the holidays wah wah wah.

I hope Blizzard changes its mind, releases the raid in march, and let the 1% suffer.

I’m still not understand why you can’t do the raid a different day of the week other than Christmas though

Its the entire season, its not about christmas day. The week of Christmas eve through new years is family time for many. Raiding mythic, especially early tier, is not just the actual hours in the raid. There is prep, farming, gearing, etc that support it. If all it took was to move raid night from christmas to another day of the week I wouldnt have posted at all.

It only gets in the way one week though. Every single other week after that for months you’ll be able to progress.

Does one week of not being able to raid instantly negate all the fun you’re going to have raiding in the following few months?

Yeah, like one week off will make a difference. I don’t care what raid level you are outside of world first because it won’t affect you in any way!

Does it? No bs, what was your raid schedule first tier of bfa on release?

What place did your guild have on your server to get ce if you did get it?

Bleeding edge is the only thing even remotely affected with like 10 days before Christmas launch.

Actually it’s the week of the 22nd and the week of the 29th.

It didn’t sound like a reasonable fix to me, although I am a player who leveled a toon in classic from 46-60 killing furbolgs in Felwood and Winterspring.

Here’s my impression of Shadowlands:

I have no plans to buy it.

I understand that. Like I said earlier I think that this won’t be an issue for the vast majority of players and it’ll actually benefit most players because they’ll have time off to play.

At the end of the day Blizzard is not going change the dates based off of the issues that a tiny percentage of the player base has.

They literally did last year man, for the exact same block of holidays during the exact same time period, with even LESS new content being available. All of the xpac is new, last time it was only a (very very poor) content patch.

Ohhh so it’s two weeks? Well now I see your point… come on dude
