There are multiple threads on this; supposedly a fix is in the works.
There are no known workarounds.

Crazy how this is not fixed yet, I missed out on the halloween event and now I cannot do the 20th anniversary event quest “Not Ready On Set” because you have to go to ardenweald in the shadowlands and I cannot progress because of the intro bug… Cmon blizz

I’m also now stuck on the 20th anniversary event questline because I can’t get to Ardenweald for “Not Ready On Set”. Hope this gets fixed soon enough to complete the 20th anniversary event.

There is a portal to Ardenwald in the timeways for the m+ dungeon

I’m also having this issue. I wanted to unlock Night Fae customizations but after skipping the maw intro, there’s no quests to guide me to pick my covenant or any npcs except the guards that circle you by the portals.

picked up the starting quest, chose to skip the intro
now in Oribos with nothing

Same issue here. I was trying to complete all the mystery and detective related quests on my alt and I used the skip SL intro option now I have no flight master in Oribos or any npcs to interact with. Please fix
Edit 11/22 someone on Reddit found a work
around you can take a portal in dorngal to the timeways from there you can access bastion and ardenweald and use flight paths from there. Thank you Reddit user!!!

same. I want to tame riplimb, theres a drop I need in Maldraxxus of course that is BOP…
Just wanted to note here… for those who are trying to do the anniversary stuff and don’t have this open yet… The bug is obviously still here. However, if you talk to Calia (Horde, in Orgrimmar) or Genn (Alliance, in bugged Oribos) and start the quest line for cleaning up Lordaeron, you can take the portal to Maldraxxus after you gather the plague sample. Instead of continuing on the storyline, go get the crate in Maldraxxus, then take a flight path to Ardenweald for “The Show Must Go On” quest. Once you finish them, you can go back to Maldraxxus and complete the questline, or hearth out and pretend nothing ever happened. 
Hope this helps for those who are stuck waiting for the fix.

Sorry, I should add here that my work-around is for those who are not level 80 and don’t yet have access to the Dornogal timeways. That is obviously much easier if you have the access! Thanks @dixinormus for that tip!
That or just use the Timeways in Donragal to access Ardenweld and Maldraxxus and use flight paths from there.

Yep…can’t access the expansion either. But I would also like all the stuff you all randomly deleted from my guild bank that took me years to accumulate.
