If WoD was bad and Legion was good, SL should be amazing since BFA was a dumpster fire.
Some things I hope to see.

WQ - I would love to see more WQ added all the time. The zones have lots of areas unused. Think of something for them. Use all those nice looking places the graphics team makes.

Less RNG in open world. I’m tired from BfA of rares having less than 1% drop on things. I don’t want to camp them on lots of alts. I don’t want to farm it in expansions to come. Blizzard, this has made me think about quitting. It’s not fun content to sit in one spot waiting for an addon to make a sound while alt-tabbed.

Bring back a lot of class fantasy with lost abilities.

Make the world seem more alive. I would love to see zones come a live at night. Like a forest that gets spooky looking only at night.
I actually hated Destro back in MoP.
I got mad because I had to play Destro to beat Kanrethad lol
It is just the meme to call it that. Apparently no class or race = patch and it is OK to ignore the actual content.
I dont know where you were at, but legion was the expansion with the less complain at the beginning of a expansion since a while…
The only real complain was the legendary… Its still not even close to the one week without being able to play of wod, the nothing to do at all of wod and the amount of crappy thing in Bfa.
People dont ‘‘act’’ like it was amazing. IT was amazing. From the class campaign, Suramar, the Exodar quest and other stuff, legion was the expansion where we had the most amount of fun content to do at the start.
I hate how every one rate expansion with a top raiding minding. Most of people didn’t care about not having the bis legendary. Most people didn’t care about the little imbalance of class.
Saying that the second haft of the expansion was the best while only the balancing was better when actually the content ( broken shore and argus) was way less fun that the first haft of the expansion, is thinking that every one just want to be top raiding and doesn’t care about every thing else.

This seems to be a common misconception. The tower sounds nothing like visions except for scaling for 1-5 people.
I just didnt like the design philosephy changes from the end of Wrath on. And it progressively had me stay around each xpac less and less. Even Legion I waited along time before I actually started playing it(A bit before burning throne). I guess I just miss being able to do the dungeon crawl with my friends without worrying about tasks in between. MoP helped foster a task/shopping list.
The only good things about WoD was that class design was not a dumpster fire like it currently is in BfA and maybe the raids; everything else in WoD sucked.
But you do you, I suppose.
I don’t ask that Shadowlands be game of the century, all I ask is that it be better than BfA. Heck, I’d even accept Cataclysm quality because at least I had (more) fun then!

hahaha, I guess i need to change my mog asap as to not confuse anyone. 
I think I played Affliction back then in Cata. That spell where you basically suck up your dots and spit them out on another target was godlike. Along with that one spell you could use while moving if you had to move and it reset some of your dots.
You know it will be grind grind grind. RNG over RNG. Same old boring WQ and dailies.
Well OP I can tell you it wont be. WoW and Warcraft will never be the same after Activision came into the picture. Lots of false advertising in BFA and Warcraft 3 reforged. I have no faith things will get better but only worst. But if you keep throwing money at it then dont expect things to change.
