Shadowlands better be Game of the Century

You should have started at BC. Some of us found The Basement Crusade to be incredibly boring.

I mean I was really rather enjoying BfA until 8.3, but then I don’t raid or ranked PvP, so it was like the xpac was designed for me. 8.3 seems designed for people who want to log in, but don’t want to play and instead camp rares for really low drop rates toys, mounts, and pets…

I didn’t play tBC, so I can’t say anything about it.

But as far as I know it was a commercial and critical success.

Definitely more accurate

People act like legion was amazing start to finish but forums here and social media was worse than BFA is now lol

Ditto, BFA has definitely been a fun expansion for me. But now I’m ready for 9.0 as 8.3 isn’t that appealing despite the new Allied races.

BC easily the worst expansion followed by WoD for me

Don’t hold your breath though this could be the year they break the pattern.

Karrazan was still my favorite raid of all time though. I think it saved my guild after a really messy end of vanilla Naxx related collapse. Naxx was the raid that showed that you can’t bring 10+ really bad players just because they were sleeping with and/or drinking buddies of officers.

Sometimes I feel like I am in the extremely small minority. I’ve never met another player to this day in game who liked Vash’jir. It is still, even now, my favorite zone in the game. Just the art of it with the music and theme of the zone.

OP…You forgot to include your threat to quit the game if it isn’t. Could’ve made a little more effort…

I really want to level my mechagnome, but there is too much to do on my main and my brothers keep pestering me to get my classic druid to 60 to…raid…/cring.

We have that in common mate.

To this day it easily stands as the best zone IMO. Nothing compares.

I feel like people who follow this pattern blindly can’t think for themselves.

you’re already expecting too much. we already know SL will have hamster wheel grinds, RNG, a tower that use to be an island, and (aldor + scryers)²

It was almost unplayable unless you get the correct legendries. They balanced and designed classes on having 2 legendries (BM hunter felt like it was specific ones) and god help you until you got them. They eventually fixed it and then made legendries easier to get. That was also the xpac where I made like a 12 point list of things taken straight from D3.

MoP wasnt great, at all, imo.

Help standardize their crappy WQ system, rep grinds for days, cloak grind, very few dungeons and incredibly lackluster story. The classes didnt feel any better then cata, to me.

Maybe it’s because I was a Demo Lock and MoP Demo was the best thing the universe has ever seen, but I’ve never had as much of a good time as I’ve had in MoP, solo questing with Dark Apotheosis.

Five massive new zones, with the inevitable fantastic art direction and musical score, should never be called a “glorified patch”. Patches add at most a new zone and a new dungeon or raid. Not an entirely new landmass. Stop with the nonsense. Frankly, every expansion ever has been worth the price of admission for the questing alone. Everything else is just icing.

The MoP Destro warlock was flat-out the best spec I’ve ever played.

The problem could be solved if they start actually listening to their beta testers:
Tester: “This sucks and/or is broken”
Blizz: "I see… …well I’m gonna do it anyway, k?
