The Shadowlands beta is coming out next week.
If you opt-in, invites will be going out throughout the summer.

More PvE mini-games…
They want to open up PvP testing early on with everything enabled (e.g. conduits, soulbinds, legendaries, etc.) so they can figure out what’s broken and needs to be fixed.
I’m already in, I just lined the Alpha 4head
Accidentally blade danced the alpha
Wish I “accidentally” blade danced all of BFA
Participated in 2 betas. Both were a complete waste of time and left me frustrated. Hard pass.
The beta is meaningless, it’s essentially blizzards free labor for people to report bugs and tuning issues. None of the actual core issues or suggestions are addressed and alleviated.

Ion mentioned a specific example where they got a lot of feedback about a convenant ability, and they’re now going back to the drawing board because it’s not working out.
Blizzard only makes adjustments based upon what suits them, this “revamp” will be meaningless in a year, and the same underlying issues will still be present. Save this thread, and come back to it next year. I hope I’m wrong.

I think they only take feedback on what they are specifically looking for feedback on. For example they are very involved in tuning covenants so if they get some feedback that jives with their own thought processes they will reference it when they comment.
What they will not do is get feedback on a system they have moved on from and do anything with it. Case in point the “Duelers Guild” which I provided ample feedback on and pointed out exactly what is wrong with it and what would happen (which played out to a T) and they completely ignored it because they had already moved on from that and had no interest.
Obviously they can’t take everyone’s feedback and implement it, but you’d think if they got sound logical non-controversial feedback on something in a beta they should act on it. But that’s not the case. As Jim said you are there to stress/bug test for the most part which is good, but it should be more.
In the BFA beta, did they have PvP testing with all the Azerite Essences and Corruptions?
It seems like they want to have everything enabled for PvP testing in the Shadowlands beta. I’m guessing they’ll have NPCs with free conduits, legendaries, etc., or maybe even a tournament realm.
Not that I remember.
Hey if they do that great. Would love to see it. Have serious doubts that will happen, and if it did that they would do anything with the feedback they get. But I’d love to be wrong.

- Put the 2-3 “mandatory” pvp talent baseline in the unpruning event!
- Put in a 4th Soulbind that’s PvP only, that acts as the new pvp talent tree
- Disable Legendairies in PvP
- Disable all the other crap in PvP
- ???
- Nerf Destro
- Profit.
Shame video game design is hard.
