Shadowlands AOE cap is already breaking old content

Trash will still be destroyed in most cases by 1 button push, maybe two

The trash will not mean anything

People are complaining about a worse case situation of having to pressing maybe two buttons

I’m mostly indifferent. Game used to play like this so its nothing new.

I can cut off my arm and still live perfectly fine as well, doesn’t mean I should cut off my arm

Just saying, for somebody who is complaining about somebody complaining about pressing more buttons, you sure are complaining about pressing more buttons there. Which bandit’s guise last time i check, requires you to press the combo building abilities (like Mutilate or something) buttons 12 times i think (it’s been 5 years after WoD, i might have forgotten, but i remember that this is something you had to take into account as a combat rogue.) to get a 30% damage increase buff and have that do that all over again.

Not putting much thought into this, I believe they are just trying to slow down M+. There is literal no other reason to do this. Slow everything down, TiMe PlAyED MetRICZZZZZ.

That only works for boss loot, if you want to convince blizz to change it so all gold, grays, greens, blues, recipes, etc get mailed to me from all mobs I kill I won’t stop you :slight_smile:

Again, no. The AoE caps are not going to kill that content for at level players either. You’re doomsaying. Literally no one that has played the beta is arguing that leveling content is somehow disrupted by these changes. The only people who are arguing that it will are people who aren’t playing the beta and thus have no idea what they’re talking about.

It’s a convenient thing to point at to rationalize an argument that no one with knowledge of how things work are actually making.

This is completely idiotic. Unholy is already garbage in single target because of being locked in gcd most the time, now they’re killing aoe.

Why does blizzard insist on making changes like this? Aoe was fine this whole time and suddenly they want to put a cap on it? COME ON BLIZZ.

Legion was when most of it happened. Up until Legion most melee style AoE abilities had target caps, and all AoE abilities had a softcap with diminishing returns at I believe 10 targets.

Unholy is actually one of the winners of this change, currently they are one of the only melee classes that doesn’t have mass target caps.
Scourge Strike still hits all targets in DnD even in SL.

I think the only ‘major’ change for them is that the Bursting Sores talent has a cap of 8 targets per pop. The diseases still spread as normal, so Unholy will still be pretty good at AoE regardless.

Dnd is 5 target capped. It no longer allows ss to hit all targets.

Way off buddy,

  • Baby Boomers : Baby boomers were born between 1944 and 1964. They’re current between 56-76 years old (76 million in U.S.)
  • Gen X : Gen X was born between 1965 - 1980 and are currently between 41-55 years old (82 million people in U.S.)
  • Gen Y : Gen Y, or Millennials, were born between 1981 and 1996. They are currently between 26-40 years old.
  • Gen Z : Gen Z is the newest generation to be named and were born between 1995 and 2015. They are currently between 5-25 years old (nearly 74 million in U.S.)

That and Outbreak or whatever will only spread on the cast instead of having the X second spreads to nearby target stuff.

Citation needed for that. None of the slow duration damage over x seconds like DnD, Blizzard, Rain of Fire etc were capped.

Also how is Blood DK supoosed to manage as the only AoE capped tank if that is the case?

Blood Boil is not target capped. The DnD cap is only from the extra hits given by Scourge Strike/Heart Strike. The ground AoE appears to be untouched.

Or you could also say thy for every extra target hit, more resources are consumed until no resources remain.

The easier way though is of course to cap it.

Wowhead, DK Class changes. And good question, id like to know how a lot of things are going to work.
