What they posted was an ad.
Communication can be simply a means of providing information or (and this is usually what people mean on the forums - this is key, here), an exchange of information.
Blizzard did not communicate in the typically perceived fashion. They posted a “Get HYPE” sort of thing - and it fell flat. The forums are communicating that they do not appreciate what Blizzard did.

Remember when you guys messed over the entire competition by deceiving people in thinking their full 25% of purchases of some shop items would go to the competition pool of 500k minimum prize pool you offered? Then you gave nothing and said it was fully crowd funded? Lol.

Honestly I’m not looking forward to more of the same, currently the same meta comps and specs will be what we see in the coming events. Nothing new, nothing exciting, just the same comps using the same broken strats to abuse dungeons to the point where you hotfix them as the event it going on. With the literal only difference being tazaesh being part of the dungeon rotation, and stupid systems we have to grind to gain more power amps. Heck I imagine most didn’t even remeber tazavesh was a dugneon until I just metioned it, it seriously has died in a corner this entire season due to how useless of a dungeon it is right now.
The only way you seem to keep dungeons prevalent is through M+, and even that is beginning to wane. This week is so bad for pugs given they actually have to CC and kill even, over just go buttons go brrrrrrr. That me and quite a few others have one and done keys for the week. Heck last week was better to be fair, yet still had very low participation, and even the majority of my guild doesn’t do keys anymore.
I’m sorry but I and many others simply cannot be hyped right now, givne the poor state of the game and the disappointment that is going to be 9.2 so far. No one wants player power tied to rep grinds, at least serious power, conduits and sockets were okay. They were minimal upgrades, yet tying the belt is what’s breaking the camels back for a few people I know. Let alone the conduit upgrade item that tied to serious levels of high end play just to have max conduits. So far I haven’t been able to find anything that says that we can buy the little upgrades similar to ven’ari and archivist research. Which has me to believe that that will be the only way to have max level conduits. Which is an atrocious idea and shows the disconnect you have with the player base.
Your game is dying, you need to focus more on fixing it over drumming up hype for esports that will only provide brief relief from the reality that you are creating.
