Service Update -- 3:00 p.m. PST November 25

Because they would lose potential money on you buying a transfer like some…ahem… sorry to say but dumb people are going to do. I know dumb is the wrong word, Ive been sitting in 3-4 hours queue for the past 3 nights. But its a service we need to DEMAND and call them up for it, call customer service, be angry be vocal, keep talking about how insane it is for them to treat all of you, me, us as MONTHLY CUSTOMERS who ALSO bought a FULL PRICED GAME to not get any service as in transfers or free time (10 days refund etc) AND actually get a good customer rep answering questions and threads like this 24/7

Everything a business does has a cost. It is to deter constant transfers, if it were about profit they could easily make more by reducing the cost to 5 or 10 dollars. That though would be a terrible idea that would create even more problems like what we are seeing with Area52.

They are saying its a 1% ‘‘minority’’ not being able to play. its 2020 dog, its time you step up you’re vision of how stuff should work. This is a billion dollar company cheaping out on SERVING YOU for what you PAID FOR (multiple times). This isnt broadband internet from 25 years ago, and they’ve had 15+ years to put in place services and programs for this exact purpose. But they’d rather pay their CEO 40+ millions of dollars EACH YEAR than giving you good service. Stop asking for less than the bare minimum.

They should do a better job at load/ balancing those big servers. But to be fair, I don’t blame the dev or network team. Because the ultimate decision comes from those above and they just ignore this issue.

I am not a tech guy nor do I claim to have any knowledge to the requirements or if blizzard employees are hitting the big red button and scrambling around trying to get a fix or if they are just sitting around drinking tea and laughing and placing bets about us all.

Though at this point some communication is def needed considering we payed for a product and payed for a subscription but we cant access it.

agreed ^ some communication would at least suffice for now.

They’re not ignoring it, it’s part of their plan. This is a feature not a bug.

270 minute queue. Anyone claiming this is acceptable is a clown. BC launched better than this, and that is sad as hell.

I’m not defending Blizzard if that is what you think, lol. I’m just saying why they don’t do it. From a tech and $ perspective, this automated transfer system it’s probably built to handle low qty on transfers per X amount of time.

I expect a better job from Blizzard, like I said they should’ve have looked at previous launch and prevent the same issues over and over. But they didn’t do anything about it, instead they probably invest the money somewhere else… like paying those above more $…

Actually I think, they may benefit from it, somehow. Because I’m sure some players already bought the transfer ticket.

I think at this point with AAP you might be able to hit 10-50 before que time goes :slight_smile:

I understand your point, even though i dont think its valid. Especially if you think about the fact that we’ve all been sitting in queues for 3+ hours. Surelly even a system that handles a few demands at a time is faster than us waiting 3+ hours in queue for 3 nights ( and its just the beginning…we re not the weekend yet)

Exactly, would not surprise me if higher ups are laughing comparing the line of people actually cancelling their sub and getting a refund VS people who use their paid service to get out of a mess Blizzard created themselves.

Why reduce it when you KNOW people will pay 25-30 bucks. They added all this allied race bs, and you think people leveled new characters? No, they went straight to the shop and bought race changes. With all the race content goin on, youd think ATleast race change would be free. The gender thing only happened b/c everyone crumbles before feminism gender equality in 2020. Even blizzards pockets.

I don’t know the specific of how that system is built. They could, if they monitor the system manually, because I’m pretty sure if they use the automated one, it’s going to crash too, due a data bottleneck lol.

Now the question is… Do they want to pay extra to a team to handle that task?

They arent doing anything, b.c they don’t want to. Or to put it better, they don’t “feel like doing anything”.

If they were only after the money, they would have allowed race changes to award the heritage armor. They did not though, you have to level from start to max to earn them.

well it could also be they are not saying anything because no one wants to be that guy that has to deal with the forum people.

They may just want to fix it when they can and everyone on the forum will just disappear.

This is an absolute joke. I’m about to cancel my sub at this point. Offer free xfers to low pop servers, period. This company has turned to garbage since being acquired by Activision.
