Service Status Forum

Wouldn’t it be helpful to use the Service Status forum for things like Unexpected Maintenance? Or even expected maintenance?

Feedback can be left here so the proper staff can see it.

We provide notification in the Desktop App, where it should be visible to all.

With it, we don’t really use that forum anymore. It hasn’t been used in over 2 years, it just hasn’t been fully archived yet.

Not all of us look at the desktop app 24/7/364,
So that kind of defeats the purpose of having this service status forum

Please keep in mind, bumping topics isn’t really ideal, due to a number of reasons.

When there is planned maintenance, whether it is for the game, or for BNet, there will be notifications everywhere, including the BNet App, In Game Login/Character Select, as well as the app, and there will always be plenty of time for the warning for the planned maintenance.

dude, please start a new thread instead of necroing a 7-month-old one; second, that is why Blizz generally posts on the launcher several days in advance of a scheduled maintenance. And they even put it on the char select screen.

LOL Ayukama beet me by seconds.

They usually post notices on Twitter and the support page as well, if you can’t see updates.

That’s the exact subtext of what Vrak said seven months ago. The Service Status Forum is not in use anymore. Notices are plastered everywhere else, as Ayukama listed.

Besides, this is Tuesday. ALWAYS plan that there will be maintenance on Tuesday. Yesterday was understandable, as it was on a non-standard day.

You technically don’t look at the Service Status forum 24/7/364 either. You’d look at it when you need information, which is what the Battlenet Desktop app would provide in this case.

Given the age of this thread I’m going to lock it up.
