Servers up but not?

So, the realm list says the servers are up. And, as is my norm, once I see that I try to log in… But wait, turns out the servers are in fact NOT up…

My client does now say maintenance until 11 PDT, even though it said 9 when I went to bed… Which is cool and all, technically y’all did communicate the extension to us. But, every Tuesday is the same for me. Get up, check realm status, and if it has a green check I log in. For some reason, this week is proving to be the exception and it’s more than a little frustrating.

Maintenance got extended by 1 hour apparently, was showing 10am PDT, now says 11amPDT.

This is legit why I’m upset. I wouldn’t have set an alarm for 9 PDT in my time if the servers weren’t gonna be up then.

Don’t look at the realm list. Those are been defunct since 2021.

Yah I’ve learned being on night shift now I just got to bed as soon as I feel tired Tuesday mornings there’s no point in staying up to see I can play at all lol

Yeah i found it funny too that the server status page shows all the servers are up and running even tho maintenance got extended lol. Threw me off thinking “Yay! they are up early” lol

Every a Tuesday it’s the same for me as well.

Get up around 5:30 am.
Go to work.
Get home at 6:00 pm.
Eventually remember to check the vault.
Go to bed.
The cycle (except for the vault) repeats.

Don’t think I’ve ever actually been impacted by server maintenance.

That’s a good sign. When no servers are available it means something is really broken. Now it means they are play testing it.

Now if they are having fun we might get another two hours.

Edit: Huh oh they went down again. Time to call your mom.

They haven’t let me down recently. During down time they have red X when they are up there is green check. Not this week though

Btw, and i apologize if this is rude. But just always assume maintenance is gonna get extended extra 1-3 hours. Blizz hasn’t stayed on their schedule yet since War Within has came out. ( and never has been early, why i was excited)

I am a new player…I have never seen a game turned off the servers for maintenance without any notice : (

Oh no doubt. This game has consumed me at two very different points in my life now.

And, most of WoW’s player base lives somewhere in this viscosity too. We play the game because of the dopamine highs. Smash our faces into a boss for a .1% chance to get an average looking mount because once it drops we get that spike.

So don’t sit here and act like you’re all high and mighty, when you also come running back to the game… At your chosen points in the day. We are all, on some level, addicted to this game. 15 a month is cheaper than beer/liquor for a month after all, with better dopamine spikes.

Yo, nothing wrong with wanting the people we pay to keep the schedule they set. I mean cant be helped that it was pushed back (again) lol But least it isnt ubisoft? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sure but dont be out here acting like my addiction and yours are the same. The servers could be down for days and i still wouldnt make a post or comment about it. Id log on again for sure but id be able to wait patiently without getting “legit angry”.
