The last one was locked, but I still want and expect answers as to why our paid service was taken down for 8 hours with no warning.
They ran into errors when removing the clone service from the game.
I’m pretty sure they already said why it was down.
Added link to my original post where the blue post is.
As they stated, but why were the servers taken down to address that? Again, why was there no notice? Again, why were we stringed along for 8 hours? Again how will Blizzard account for the unavailability of a paid service?
I don’t think anything more is coming, they typically will not reveal the specifics on why something didn’t go as intended.
I don’t disagree with you there.
Blizzard has a habit of not being transparent with their player base. They should really have put out notice and been like “hey there’s this issue and servers are gonna be down for a while” and not only like 2 hours before servers are back up.
Transparency means trust and they need to have their player base trust them.
Guys you can’t complain about them not fixing the game and also complain when they take it down to fix it.
That’s just asinine.
If the server down time upset you, you might be an addict.
I didn’t complain about them not fixing the game. It worked. It worked just fine the entire time. People who were complaining were the malcontents that wanted blizzard to change things from working to extreme elitism and gatekeeping. They wanted so much to do away with RMT and boosting because they couldn’t be bothered to actually play the game and want to pay2win. That’s not why WoW was great. The old adage is appropriate here. “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it”. What I have a problem with is when they cut into the limited time that I have to play the stupid game without warning or even an explanation as to why they did it.
So you’ve already seen one thread get locked for this, and you decided it would be a good idea to make another?
I very well may be. Or maybe I expect to actually be able to use a service I pay for. One of the two.
I’m surprised no one has yet demanded a fifty cent refund yet. That’s what people did last time.
Yeah, it worked for the whiners over boosting
They told us what they issue was. It was unexpected that they would run into issues.
Welcome to programing… IDK what other answer you are looking for.
Sorry you had to do something else other then wow for a day, must have been hard on you.
Well, clearly as I’m still here complaining hours later, I’m perturbed by it. I still will never understand why they do this crap in the middle of the day instead of the middle of the night.
Because workers are asleep at night and work during the day… Did you really just ask that?
You might not like the wow devs, but they are people
I work in the middle of the night, so I’m not sure who you were trying to hurt with that comment.
I also work in the middle of the night but understand that most people don’t.
Isn’t that evidence that blizz is not keeping up with the times?
