I strongly suspect taking down the crashing servers was not a choice, nor did it necessarily have an ETA.
The timing regarding your activity is, of course, regrettable.
Last night’s crash mirrored Friday night’s crash. The two crashes had very similar mechanics. It’s probably just some rough tuning, bet they’re making some changes in the server architecture for DF.
Completely Unacceptable Response. There is no information up on the App page, no post about this on Wow webpage. No information that it’s even happening. You have garnered a lot of good will with the new Expansion. This is the kind of response that will lose you customers you CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE. DO BETTER.
Why would the server issues from last night be in the launcher now during maintenance (which is noted in the launcher currently)?

Last night or today?
Today’s downtime was posted last night.
Last night’s downtime was due to an emergency, there likely wasn’t much information from the tech guys given the time of night.

The issue in this thread was resolved over night. Currently regular weekly maintenance is happening. A totally separate event.
The announcement for today’s maintenance was on the launcher two days ago.
