Servers are ghost towns now

It sounds like they are referring to the HC addon being used by some players on SoD servers.

Yes
exactly how I understood it too, and the reason why I ask; level 60 on SoD is not possible

Oh. Well, I understood it to mean that people who were getting to 60 on HC servers and are using the HC addon in SoD are dying at level 12.

I could be mistaken.

Months ago this was said and
HC still going strong. So strong that they added more layers so that people could not have to keep waiting at questing hubs to kill the npcs.

It is still going very strong. So strong that we now got the bots and exploiters in here. BAD.

So you’d rather waste your time on a seasonal server where the character will guaranteed be deleted when the season is over?

They are saying

Players that made it to 60 on Hardcore Classic are failing to make it past level 12 on SoD SF Hardcore.

My guess as to why would be mostly due to it being SF. So many players in HC went around leveling in a party at the start or after they had a main twinked out their alts.

Yeah, this what I was saying. People who made it to 60 on a normal HC server are dying trying to do the challenge on SODcore. But it’s because of the stricter rules being used.

I mentioned that because people were saying that it would be to easy in SOD.

You shouldn’t do anything that you feel is a waste of time.

I personally don’t view playing on a seasonal server to be a waste. I have had great fun playing the different modes wow provides. I play for the moment to moment fun. I gave up having any long term attachments to my characters.

but make it obscenely pricy. like $10/level.

I was responding to the person saying that they’d rather play SoD than hardcore because they could lose their character in hardcore. So I was just pointing out that everyone will lose their character on SoD once the season ends.

The difference is retail keeps building on top of its already vast content while the other just resets the same thing again and again drivem by streamers and shepple that jump from ship to ship at the sight of something new. Now only era seems to be evergreen which is fine and the biggest reason I was actually for it (classic era). But the “prpgression” classic servers, SoM, SoD, Hardcore and now people asking for solo self found Hardcore
how much time before come up with a “new” twist that furthee fragments the classic playerbase and keeps perpetuating this view of most classic olayers
as a grouo that just wants new shiny and abandon whatever was current. (This is extremely ironic since classic fans always trashed retail for always moving and wanting new content , LMFAO)

I found horde Defias to be really light, but alliance Defias is very active, especially in the human starting areas.

Or will it transition into the expansion
?

They don’t even need to bother. They can just release a new fresh classic every 6 months, not call it seasonal, merge servers as they decrease in pop and just keep the loop going and at least half these people would be happy with that. Kind of surprised Blizz hasn’t already planted the seeds for that money farm.

Here’s how you do it.

you launch the game with all content available.

as soon as Kel’thuzad dies 100th time, server wipes all toons. Kel’thuzad counter resets.

Easy.

I just solved the game.

you’re welcome.

Game was not designed for this mode. You get what you get.

Strong disagree. Wiping the server might be enjoyable for the bored people with multiple level 60s kitted out in raid gear, but it would empty the server as people trying to take their characters up the leveling curve lose all their progress.

The correct solution is to remove the Flask of Petrification exploit and allow players tackling tough content to experience normal attrition.

I don’t know about other servers, but alliance defias pillager still feels plenty alive even now. I mean I guess if your standard is super duper mega server then it’s dead. But I’m not like that.

Mob tagging does more than petri flask tbh. People die and are back to level 60 in under a week. Also petri is mainly used for a threat wipe which I think is the intended purpose. The usage of petri to port the raid out of a dungeon is the exception to the usage. Not to mention you would also need to remove mage portals as then people would just start opening portals before every pull.

please show me evidence of people leveling to 60 with “mob tagging” so quickly. me thinks you’re making a mountain out of a molehill
