I’m just logging into the character screen to see the processing time, I’m not logging onto the toon itself. But every time I launch TBC and go to check processing time it keeps resetting back to 4 hours.
I’m just curious if the action of me logging into check character screen is messing with it? Or If I can keep coming back to check processing time.
Also curious on others experience with length of transfer time, my retail one was done within 30-40 minutes.
There’s probably an enormous backlog on transfers right now.

I doubt it. More likely, is that it just shows 4 hours as a maximum, and continually shows that, until it gets closer to actually processing yours.

It’s super common practice for them to sort of kind of lie about wait times. Consumers are much easier to placate with 4 hours that keeps saying 4 hours for 24 hours, than hitting them with “24 hours” right at the beginning.
I’d assume their backlog won’t take more than a day to clear though, assuming they are not experiencing ongoing issues.
Ya hopefully not longer than a couple hours tbh, otherwise ya I guess I’ll stick with farming mounts on retail today then. Curious if anyone was able to successfully transfer as of today yet.
Still waiting on mine to go thru. But they opened PvE > PvP apparently without saying anything to anyone (at least that im aware of). Xfer’d 2 toons myself, and some friends all xfer’d toons as well from PvE to PvP. Its where we all started and jumped ship when P2 came out cuz it was horrendous to play thru that, so glad to go back.
Mine finally updated to 3 hours and 53 minutes lol, curious on what your time says?

This character says it’s on cooldown. Strange I transferred her on March 10th. Guess I have to wait still.

I believe there is a 3 month cooldown on transfers of the same Character

My transfer started 3hrs ago and is stuck at 2h:40m remaining.
i’m almost at 5 hours still says 46mins
Geez mine just updated to 3 Hours and 51 minutes, so ya it must be really backed up
