Having no LFD in wrath will only exacerbate the server population issue.
There has been an extreme flight out of servers into a few ultra large servers in TBC.
Having no LFD will cause even more flight out of those already dying servers, due to ease of access or lack thereof.
Once everyone is on those few specific realms, people will still turn to addons (like they do now) to sort out all the spam in trade chat/LFG.
So for the health of those dying servers and for the health of the larger servers, LFD should be implemented.

If Blizz doesn’t understand that, then they are ill-suited for the job at hand. So if they stick with such a decision, it isn’t due to lack of understanding, but a lack of caring about the negative effects of their decisions on the community. Blizz didn’t ask for community feedback about WOTLK LFD prior to making an executive decision to remove it, and then blamed the removal on that as “it is what the community wants.”

Except having no LFD makes those servers worse off than having LFD. There is a higher chance that servers survive with LFD than without. No LFD=less groups=transferring servers. LFD=more groups=less need to transfer= more chance to establish a base on a lower pop server.

also. in my experience realm connections failed anyways. If they don’t connect realms with the already largest realms, then they will still flee to the largest realms anyways.
What is a negative for you is a positive for me.
Luckily from nearly every poll viewed, you are in a minority grouping. You can always choose not to use that tool, if/when introduced.

You’re ignoring everything I laid out in my post: LFD doesn’t make a depopulated realm more populated. Stop pretending it does or at least stop pretending like you care about low pop realms when you ask for LFD.

no, but it will help retain the players that are coming back to wrath. without LFD there is no reason to stay on a dying realm with no groups.
Also, they may have a raid group for the specific time they raid, just because it’s low pop doesn’t mean 25 people can’t get together and play at 8 pm on a wed.
It’s all the other times that LFD helps.

Noone wants to save dying servers, and blizzard will benefit if you pay transfer so they can finaly shut down a server to reduced costs. Noone cares about low pop server just xfer.
I was going to stay out of this thread but when someone tries to speak for everyone else it’s annoying because you can’t. I care about the low pop server thing a lot.

RDF 100% helps low-pop realms. Just because it doesn’t solve a lack of economy doesn’t mean it doesn’t help.

If you really want to fix lowpop/dead servers you should argue for a real solution like a merge instead of LFD which does nothing to fix the problems dead servers have other than making 5man faceroll content possible. It isn’t going to fix your raid scene, your economy or your guilds.
Once again another thread using lowpop servers as a shield to push the tool they want but when someone makes a thread with a genuine solution for these people it gets totally ignored and drowned out by the thousandth LFD thread.

RDF can easily be considered a first step to solving a population problem as it provides players with an EASY and FREE way to level characters faster.

First step and only step you mean. We know most people don’t really care about low pop realms and are just using us as a means to justify their precious LFD.
After you guys get LFD, they’ll just go back to complaining about everything else except low pop realms.

That isn’t a step to solving population problems at all. If you really want to help these people fix their servers and be able to enjoy WOTLK properly the first step you should be asking for is free unconditional xfers or merges instead of a tool they can use to faceroll 5man content.
Based on your post history you don’t even discuss lowpop servers unless simultaneously asking for RDF. Why am I not surprised?
