Not sure if this is happening to all the servers, but Whitemane has been dead for over a month now and its becoming increasingly difficult to find groups to get certain things done. I timed how long it took for a new message to come through LFG today at 10:00 PM ST and it took 6 minutes before anyone said something new. Are there going to be server merges?
SoD really came out at the worst time possible. Killed so many guilds and crippled many others with attendance issues.
Whitemane is a Horde server with ~10k players (or characters) on it so there’s not a numbers issue. The issue is that there’s nothing to do now, H LK is dead, we saw the same thing with Naxx in Classic. After people killed Kel’Thuzad players dropped and raid logged more often. Same with KJ in Sunwell, after people killed Kil’jaeden people just stopped raiding and raid logged more often (though not as many people because of the Isle).
We had 7 weeks of ICC before SoD released which honestly is plenty of time to do everything, save for H LK.
The servers don’t need to be merged let alone servers that have ~10k players.
your first H LK kill was on December 18th 2023. Apparently 7 weeks was not enough to clear the full content let alone go for you full BiS.
Aside from that, you don’t even raid with a guild regularly. You’re either doing pug or more likely GDKP runs.
Thank you for your insight, but I don’t agree with you. Merging servers would definitely help those that are still trying to play current content. Who cares if half or more than half of the server pop is raid logging.
Because my guild has stopped raiding, raided with a guildies other guild for one week because they needed someone and then I got asked to join a different guild by another guildie because they’re still raiding and I plan on raiding with them untill Cata pre-patch I don’t GDKP and I don’t PuG.
7 weeks IS plently of time to do everything including getting good prog on H LK, BiS has nothing to do with anything being discussed, the only way you can get BiS in 7 weeks is if you get super lucky with drops making the other classes suffer or you get funneled loot. Either way being BiS has no impact on killing H LK.
you dont need full BiS if you have the full content on farm.

Personally I’m only doing 2 and 8 cause I’ve pretty much done everythign else… 1’s pretty good too.
you should help others climb the ladder you climbed, and celebrate with them at the top.
It would be a waste of time to merge servers when it’s just the end of xpac drought.

Half the players are bot subscriptions i for 1 log on 15 chars in that time span of that and a lot of the players like i do the same. More than half the player base on these servers only play in their guilds with like 6-7 runs a week soy yea player count is irrelevant for pugging.
It took over 2.5 hours to form a icc today and several people left during the run cause htey didnt have time after forming.

The expansion is out till summer 3-4 months out is the end? especialy when the last time this phase came out it lasted over a year.

Try running it not through LFG and you’re likely to have more luck but at this point you should probably join an already established PuG Discord.

WHAT? I’m on Whitemane and it is still alive. Oceanic servers on the other hand, are completely dead.
Yeah, unfortunate that OCE is such a small region with only 1 real server.

If your server is anything like mine (which I see no reason why it wouldn’t be) then it’d have Discord servers dedicated to running PuGs. Joining one or many of these Discord servers is easier than trying to form a group through LFG alone.
How do you think GDKP’s get their groups? Do you think that they all advertise in LFG, some do but the vast majority of them don’t because they’re already established and have a surplus of people joining every raid. This is just one example of a PuG server and not all of them are for GDKP’s.
