MoP will be up anytime now! You can launch game into server select list with them being offline. Usually, they are up within 10ish minutes once that happens during maintenance.
Not generally accurate.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Sometimes the server list is up to test something else and it comes back down.
Ive seen the server list up for hours before going live.
This has been the case for HOURS. You’re wrong.

I wouldn’t consider a minimum of 3 1/2 hours “anytime now”, personally

Fwiw, I’ve also seen servers go up early a number of times.
That said, I don’t believe “early” was ever more than 45 min ahead of “schedule”.
We got some time before it’s remotely worth checking.
i seen the servers go up early and it what i hope will happen today or some times they get delayed and i cry a little inside but i am here waiting looking hopeing

I’ve seen the server list since 10ish when I first checked in. Don’t think this is the case.
The literally all turned gray the minute servers went down 0700 PT and still are as of 1354 PT.
For routine maintenance yes, but for a pre-patch to an expansion? -i’ll wait for the inevitable Blue post extending maintenance by 3 then another 1 hour.
