Server Issues Convo With a GM

Not really any hole I’m in. You have made yourself look bad not me.

what an odd read. all i got out of this was you couldn’t take no for an answer.

Yeah, pretty much

I’m a little confused. What was the point of this thread other than to show yourself misusing Blizzard’s ticket system and increasing the ticket wait time for everyone with actual issues GMs can assist with?

How did he beg for free stuff? He said they were waiting to for payday to buy the transfers and the realm got locked. You read like a 12 year old.

Everyone feels like there ticket is important. So do I, I pay for the game I’m allowed to make a ticket. I brought this to the forums cause the GM told me to. I also think this is a problem a lot of people are having, with not being able to play with there friends which is one of the big reasons for coming back to classic.

Well, if Blizzard did a better job of telling it’s customers what is and is not a GM assistable issue perhaps more people would use the system appropriately. Right now the system either directs you a Help article or to open a GM ticket.

I agree these types of issues do slow the ticket system, but not by much. I would suspect the ticket system is slow because:

  1. They do not have enough GMs.
  2. GM quality has been reduced.
  3. GM knowledge of the game and systems is low.
  4. GMs now rely on scripts and scripted answers too much.

He didnt troll him because the op failed the reading comprehension part and didnt take it to the right spot on the forums. Was a link and everything and still failed.

Sure, but what you feel doesn’t always match up with reality, right?

No one said you aren’t allowed to.

You can play with friends. You just want to do it in a super specific way or you threaten to leave Blizzard property. Ultimatums and threats usually don’t convince.

Hey look, a Karen is mad that a low level customer support employee didn’t fundamentally alter corporate policy for her. I bet the original poster is just great to servers and retail staff.

Was really hoping you could have squeezed in a few more of “how excited you are to play with friends”

I swear people think when blizzard sees that sentence they will go against any policy to make it happen.

well yeah because isn’t that the point of playing an MMO instead of a single player game?
Going against the policy in this case would actually help with the problem that blizz want to address which is queues, grobb regularly has a massive hours long queue and whitemane doesn’t.

The OPs post is another good example of how locking the servers with zero notice is not even solving the queue issue but breaking up friend groups and demoralizing people enough to cancel their subs ahead of wrath launch which is something I’m sure most of us have been excited about for some time.

Ummm, no lol. Over all things are important because people choose what’s important to them. Including blizzard, which I got a response before a lot of people which means they thought I was important enough to respond to right? Also wanting to play on your main with your friends isn’t specific that’s what everyone wants to do “if they have a main”. If that is your first or only character which is what level 11 you don’t really have an argument here.

Anyone paying for a service should approach said service however they think prudent. One week waiting times on tickets was created by Blizz. Hire more people.

This is a Blizz created problem and Blizz needs to provide solutions. Any adult knows that you sometimes get different answers when you escalate things.

So you define importance to be something relative and personal? That’s great but not everyone is you nor do they need to find value in what you find valuable.

Except you need to play on a specific server with a specific character. That’s the difference. You’re unwilling to otherwise. Does the prospect of playing with friends not outweigh those things for you?

Yes I’m unwilling to compromise that cause I want to play with my friends on my main lol xD if you could cross server play I wouldn’t have made this post lol. I dont think you understand the situation. Also yes anything of importance to someone also needs to be important to the other people around that person for it to be important as a collective. just like you don’t think my thing is important yet a lot of other people do.

What a ridiculous situation. They closed down my server and told me to go to a megaserver, so I did. Once I was there, queues exceeded 10,000 people and 4+ hours so I took a free transfer off to Sulfuras. Now there is a queue there. You’re just going to be stuck on Grobbulus because Blizzard created a cluster? Horrible.

It is insane you can free up a space on Grobbulus and drop the queue there yet they won’t allow you on Whitemane, and further, it’s even more ridiculous you can make 10 characters on Whitemane and level them yet you can’t transfer 1.

Reminds me of an apartment issue I had.

Me and someone else lived in the same complex, my lease ran out soon and their’s had already renewed. Mine was a higher rent. We wanted to move in together, and wanted to abandon one of the leases, and they said that if we wanted to move into mine we’d have to keep paying their lease for the rest of the renewal period or pay the fee to cancel early which included 2 months rent.

So I went up the chain of command 3 times and finally got to someone who was in a position of power and said “Listen, we’re not paying for 2 units. I will either move over to the other unit, and pay you $200 less a month, and be less happy and abandon mine as the lease runs out soon, or you guys can make us happy customers, swap the lease dates and the person and I can move into mine, and you’ll get $200 more a month and we’ll be happy.” The person in the position of power realized the clear and sheer ridiculousness of the situation, and saw that even though the peons said “but they’re two separate leases” that it was one situation, and they accounted for the reality of it, and of course accommodated our request. We lived there several more years and were very happy, and they got the extra $200 bucks every month and weren’t at full capacity so it actually mattered.

Unfortunately, you’re not going to be able to go up the chain of command with Blizzard high enough to make a difference

Yep, its really upsetting, I have an alt I’m about to hit 64 right now on… I would pref to be playing my warrior on Whitemane right now but I’m stuck on another class lol.

Whitemane has had 0 Qu’s as well. So it would help over all since Im playing on Whitemane on an alt anyway…
Yesterday I waited in a 3 hour Qu to do 1 heroic then log off to level my alt on whitemane.

Sadly yeah, If I was able to go to a physical office near me I would haha. Its just a dumb situation that they created themselves. I was forced onto Grob when my server got deleted… but on top of that its like I’m not using a free transfer, I’m wanting to just pay to get off of this and be with friends, but anyway Ramble done.

They won’t do anything. They’ll just say they can’t, then pass the buck to the developers they apparently can’t get ahead of either. It shouldn’t be that hard to escalate tickets to higher people that can actually do something. The most insulting part is that they’ll direct you to the forum. This is a dead end that doesn’t lead to any resolutions. You’re just being dumped off. This is called passing the buck, or hot potato.

Blizzard does not care about their customers or the service we pay them to provide. It’s time for the community to move on. Fingers crossed for riots MMO.
