I think this pretty much answers the question. Anything beyond this is moot. A GM cannot do anyting about it. Not sure why there was any additonal conversations on the point.
The issue is now in the hands of public opinion and seeing if Blizzard will change this decision. But that is nothing a GM can do. And the GM was 100% correct, the Forums is the right place for this. You will need a large vocal community to chime in here to get this decision reversed.

If you new anything about raising a child you would know you have free time to yourself. Few hours a day while your wife or husband takes care of the kids. Giving you a break.
