Server died, not worth transferring

yes im announcing it. so in classic i transferred servers to play with RL friends, that server died (and RL friends quit)

then i transferred back to my original server to play BC. now that servers absolutely dead. when i say dead, i dont mean there has to be 1,000s of people. but like theres nothing even on the AH and chat can go silent for 30mins at a time or more.

I was taking BC pretty casually anyway (mostly pvp, occaissionly quest, raid, or dungeon) so transferring servers YET AGAIN just doesnt even seem a smart move and a waste of money. yeah its only 25 bucks but id rather give it to a homeless person than waste it on blizz again. So i think im done.

Come to Warmane. Abandon this sinking ship.

And pay blizzard more transfer money?

Why do you think they don’t lift a damn finger to help servers at all?

Seems like many servers are like that these days. Unfortunately Blizz has done very little to control populations, besides a few free transfers they offered at the start of tbc they have done nothing.

This guy gets it!

I unsubbed today for this very reason. I made sure to tell Blizzard in the requested feedback, that they are not receiving any money from me until they provide a solution that does not come at the cost of the customer.

Yes, where you can buy any gear you want and barely anything is scripted properly. Sounds like a gas. And yes I’ve played there.

We need legit solutions to problems in the live game not more trash pservers. I’ll go play another game before I go back to that garbage tbh.

so you guys just transfer to dead servers without doing research on the server, then blame blizzard for your terrible decision? what do you think will happen if they give everyone a free transfer? the numbers of server pops will be heavily skewed for weeks, and you wont have accurate information.

Look up molten wow if you think Warman is the place to go lol.

Blizzard doesn’t want peasants playing their games. They harpoon whales, they don’t waste time casting nets for small fish.

Your statement is WAY too simplistic. You don’t seem to even realize that a lot of people did do research and things changed over the period of a few months.

I actually doubt you’ve even really been paying any attention to anything that’s been going on with server pops. If you actually were paying attention you wouldn’t be making this statement.

I haven’t paid for a transfer yet on Classic in the 2 years I’ve played it, I don’t put the blame onto these players when their new servers die because at least 90% of the time they did their best to find a good server and what happened wasn’t predictable.

I support the OP and anyone who unsubs over this all.

Is Mankrik and Pagle still alive?

Oh, if you wouldn’t mind pointing me to the data blizzard provides to make an informed decision.

Fairbank’s is a ‘medium’ pop server - 6k horde and less than 50 ally (which I got, btw, using a third party site). Blizzard is witholding information in the hopes of purposefully increasing transfer revenue

We don’t have accurate information now, and the only thing that would change would be Bobby not buying a new yaught with transfer money

“Medium population” what a con.

Can you imagine a newbie rolling Alliance on such a server and then wondering where all the people are some levels in.

At least with mine “low” fits it.

And the award for dumbest thing posted in the forums today goes to

Hahaha. It seems like more and more people compete every day.

Mankrik Horde side is nothing but raid loggers, boosters, and farmers. Some legit, but a lot of them are probably bots. Still pretty full on raid days though.
