you’re taking 'mine’ing too seriously lol
Someone has gotta do ya the deed… if ya know what I mean.
No, I really don’t.
We’re not all WoW gods like you.
Even if us scrubs complain less and have what sounds like a lot more fun.
Glinda, go back and read the Post I responded to. I’m 100% opposed to meta slavery and the toxic exclusionary attitude pushed by those people.
I seriously don’t care what spec a person plays long as they have fun with it and actually try.
95% of the time PvE failure is not a low DPS condition, but the numbers worshipping tools want you to kneel at their alter of toxic meta slavery and I’m just sick of em.
if’n you don’t want to be slave to the meta, be the tank, tell the group how you will be pulling, mark CC’s, issue requests to the group, etc. Don’t get all rage-y when your group members don’t listen, unless it’s a heroic, then rage away.
HAHA, I’ve been there. I was doing that SMV quest for attunement where you have to make the boars eat the potatoes (?) and then click on them. The place was busy, all kinds of players all over. I flew down, pretty far from some hunter killing a mob, and did one of the clickies that made a boar run over. They shouted “Seriously?!”, and then “unreal” and ran off. I assumed they had decided that node was theirs (despite that being ridiculous), so I just said “This place is busy!” and tried to invite them to my group; completely ignored.
Some people just want to be the victim.
That quest sucks almost as much at the Naga chest quest later in the chain.
You shouldn’t blatantly mock the mentally disabled
Every single day I wish I had an item that would allow me to aggro to horde players.
Just today someone came up and herbed some of my bog lords I killed. Walked right up and saw me and everything. I swear if there was an item that would allow me to attack horde players he’d had done a corpse run for that.
Basically all of the alliance now at my farming spot know to leave me and my kills alone.
I mean, if you got, you got it. If I see a guy mining or herbing, I just fly by and look for another one.
But I don’t at all mind giving someone a piece of my mind if they try taking a node I’m mining while I mine it.
Did something similar yesterday, in fact. Was leveling a Draenei and clearing some of the hostile Moonkin in order to inoculate the neutral ones. Some Paladin sat there and waited for me to clear the mobs before he rushed in and inoculated a neutral one.
Whispered him saying, “Do you need me to swing your weapon for you too?”
the only time i get mad is when im fighting a mob.
getting ganked is fine
both going for the node at the same time is fine
being shamed for using a main? that’s out there ill be real with ya.
I had an Alliance guy watch me fight an elite and barely die while I was on a node. I ran back… node was gone.
See, there’s people who will post screenshots of players standing in line to kill a quest NPC and say, “Look at how great this community is!”
Meanwhile, AQ comes out and everyone is at each others’ throats for that Scarab Lord title…
I get flamed for playing ret at least once per week in either BGs or by some jerk in LFG. Lately it’s been mostly BGs.
Not a node thing, but I try and make sure that no one else tags any air elementals in SMV when I’m there. I’ll blow all my mana on moonfires and die before I let some filthy hunter or mage get an elemental.
Yeah, the community is awful… And so is the game engine they are using.
I had to use some of my cancer savings to buy a new laptop just to play, cause while my laptop ran Classic fine, TBC Classic is too good for it.
And yeah, I get trash-talked by my own side constantly.
I never say stuff like this. It would make me sound like I’m not part of the community and think I can look down on y’all as if I’m some kind of high-tier individual.
I haven’t felt like a part of the community in ages, but I don’t look down on it, I’m just disappointed and… I unno… sad. Lonely.
I’m a casual, not some snobby superman.
It’s weird you think that way, are you an elitist?
It’s the same way people use the term “society” nowadays. It’s a, “I’m looking down on all of you…” kind of way.
Truth is, we usually are the kinds of people we hate.
I was farming a spot on top of Black temple and some mage (of course it’s a mage player) decided that I was intruding on his turf, so he pulled one of the boss npc’s and tried to it to me to get me aggroed while I was fighting mobs.
The problem? I know most mages are jackasses and saw it coming a mile away. He managed to get murdered by the named npc and I just sent him a nice whisper reminding him that I am geared enough that the npc he tried to train me with could beat on me for a minute without heals and I would still be fine, but that it was a nice try.
