How would they know if I were just mining?
Basically, whenever I enter a zone, I assume that all the nodes in that zone are “mine”. If anyone picks/mines any, I call them a “ninja”.

Sorry, my phrasing was poor. They know you have at least one gathering profession, because you were mining. Instead of like leatherworking/blacksmithing or whatever the combo to be is for a ret pal.

No, I won’t take a crafting profession without the appropriate gathering profession. Did that once. Not worth the hassle.

Nah, there’s definitely some super toxic folk zooming around with the assumption every single node belongs to them.
It is interesting isn’t it. The number of players that claim they want to be in an MMO and want community, etc. But then get pissed when another player gets a gathering node before them. It is almost like they want a single-player game where they have no competition.
Oh no, they want competition. They just want to win, every time.
Although competing against hunters/paladins can definitely feel unfair sometimes.

This should be more incentive for you to get out there and grab every node you can, maybe even the nodes that guild is clearing mobs around… (by accident, of course)
Garbage players with garbage attitudes man, they may have geared them selves but aren’t really gamers when they need to follow a BiS list.

The mining wars are serious business lol. People are downright rude honestly. The things people will do for ingame gold. If I see someone obviously fighting their way to a node, then I let them have it. However, it seems most are not of the same nature.
I always roll on ore/herbs in dungeons, so many people are just greedy.

My goodness the player base for this game has changed SO much from when it originally launched. But just imagine it, you somehow managed to grief an entire zone!!
If this expansion had achievements, “Zone Griefer” would definitely have to be one of them.
