Selling Traders Tender?

I might be remembering incorrectly but did they not say they would not be selling traders tender on the cash shop? yet they keep doing bundles with “Bonus Free” tenders.

If you want too sell them just sell them. stop trying to hide behind tying them into different bundles because with the way they are doing it, lets say this month has some badass piece of armor or mount i want and im short on tenders, now i would have to spend 32$ on some transmog i dont want to be able to get some “free” tenders.
It would be much better for everyone too just have a flat rate of like 5$,10$,20$ tenders OR just stop putting them on the shop like was originally stated

You are. They literally said they would include them in bundles.

No one is forcing you to do this, you don’t have to do anything. All items will return eventually. I think we’ve already seen at least one item return the last 3-4 months. Pick what you want more, it’s not that hard.

This would not be better. They should not do this.

They are going to they’re testing us first with bundles

You get 500 free tenders for buying the next expansion but the epic edition gives you another 500

They tested us with $5 bundle and thought “hmm if they’re buying this let’s push it further” with a $25 bundle

The fact that they “conveniently” give us 500 tenders for a 500 tender staff that matches the transmog should tell you loud and clear

And all the regulars who said “they won’t do this lul” will backpedal

You aren’t misremembering completely

They mentioned that they were going to put them into bundles
Folks made the assumptions it was just gonna be big bundles, I made the guess that they would be included in bundles in general (more specifically I thought they’d be including them with Amazon Prime bundles and other stuff like that), but none of what’s on the store right now is them selling Trader’s Tender

Sure, there will be some who will treat these bundles as that but most people get a mortage with a house, rather than folks who get a house alongside their mortage
(Of course in this case these bundles being digital goods rather than physical but it doesn’t change anything; they were going to be added to bundles and that’s just simply that)

They said they wouldn’t sell them standalone.

Which they said they’d do.

Of course, this is how marketing works
… why, are you surprised about it? If folks are buying a product then that product is something that folks are buying so why wouldn’t they sell what folks want them to sell?

They said that they would be included in bundles and they have been included only in bundles so far

So… a bundle

Sure

That they figured that the staff would be enough on its own to be interesting to people who only cared about the staff, and that the “set” was good enough on its own where it didn’t need the staff to sell? Especially since not everyone can use a staff but splitting it up like this means that if you are a staff using class you can now get it if you want to?

… I’m waiting for whatever “revelation” that I’m supposed to experience that you have

  1. Why do people hate folks who are “regulars” on a forum? This is the most bizarre things on these forums honestly - Zuma, you have 1886 posts; you ARE a regular!
  2. Its a public forum - if you say something stupid or wrong and its easily disproven by a ten year old able to do a Google search, one would hope that folks would be smart enough to verify what folks said
Trader’s Tenders were going to be part of bundles, they openly said so when asked - how we interpret is up to each individual person and like I said, my take on it is was certainly different from what became popular on social media (Amazon Prime bundles)

why would it not be better to have tenders sold solo vs with a bundle?

if you want tenders for something on the trader your forced to buy some bundle you may not want vs just buying the tenders you actually want to buy

So not selling tenders, BUT this mog set is $5 US more than every other mog set in the shop…Yes they ARE selling tenders! Damn Blizz

Companies out here doing the money making thing with bundles of enticing goods. Shame on them.

Because of an assumption you are making here:

Who here is talking about buying bundles to get Trader’s Tenders except you?
If you want the bundle, buy the bundle - the only difference is that we now refer to it as a bundle rather than saying “If you want the transmog set on the store, buy the set from the store”

There’s several other elements of this that’s just wrong as well:

  1. You don’t have to buy anything
  2. How the trader is set up to work is that you save up whatever currency you have from previous months to buy stuff that’s on the trader - additional currency being introduced has no impact on the fundamental design of the trader in the first place
  3. You are still getting something from the store that isn’t the currency - if you care so little about the item you are getting that you are just getting it for the currency, that’s on your head and no one else’s

Nope, still the same price as all the other things

At least you got this part correct

Edit: I was being too snarky here, the point I wanted to make is largely here but it fails to convey it completely - sorry 'bout that

the issue isnt selling Xmogs. i have no problem with that. its the fact that they are doing a work around too selling tenders.
They should either sell them straight out as the currency, or not have them on the shop at all.
The bonuses for expacs im ok with because if you want too even play the game your going to get the expac.

There’s been several repeats already.

You’re not “forced” to do anything.

We get tons of tender for free and for just playing the game at a very basic level.

There isn’t even really a time pressure because we know for a fact that everything on the Post will cycle back around eventually.

I see all the other sets are $20, this shows $25. What are you seeing that I’m not?

I know how the damn thing works. You must not be reading what im saying.
If there is an item on the trader you want and you are short on tenders and you cant buy them flat out but take a look at the cash shop and see "oh there is a bundle with some tenders " if you realy want that item you are enticed to buy the bundle which you may or may not want to get those “free” tenders.
YES you can just not do it, no one is forcing you too your right. But the option is there and if you had the option to buy tenders stand alone VS some bundle with something you might not want, a standalone purchase would be better.

I mean you could practice mental fortitude but I guess that’s out of the question.

Tender individually are infinite purchases. Bundles are one time per Bnet account.

Absolutely none of what’s happening with trader’s tenders should surprise anyone (especially since they literally said they would do this), but that doesn’t mean it’s okay by any stretch.

IMO the Trading Post and the Cash Shop should have no overlap. Period. End of story.

Tenders available in the cash shop is just predatory. Of course, that’s exactly why they would want to do it.

Companies exist to make money, yes. But they could do it by providing products/services people want to buy rather than leaning on emotional manipulation tactics such as artificial scarcity.

Yes no one has you in an arm bar making you purchase the bundle. But if you want the tenders and only the tenders your only option is too buy the bundle.
I dont understand why people cant see that tenders on the shop should be a stand alone purchase or not at all
