Sell me on TWW

I’m not terribly familiar with the features being touted for this next expansion. I know of warbands, but it sounds like they just made a lot of stuff account bound and I dont know what else having a warband means. im not interested in the earthen allied race at all, so why should I buy this expansion? lay the info on me boys n girls.

Why should I try to convince you to buy an overpriced expansion that, from what has been shown so far, isn’t even worth half its price? Honestly, I wouldn’t feel good about it.

In my opinion, you’re better off not buying the expansion unless the devs manage to conjure up some quality out of nowhere beforehand. Ultimately, though, you have to decide for yourself what your money is worth to you.

They don’t buy Pandaren on TWW, sorry :frowning:

Not with that attitude.

Seems like just searching would have been a lot less typing and resulted in actual information from blizz.

In my experience, in every expansion I’ve been able to find something I enjoy and thougt was worth my time and money regardless of how liked or disliked it was by everyone else.

we don’t actually know that much more than you do at this point, tbh.

all we’ve seen is a brief preview of the zones and some hero talents.

:dracthyr_shrug: Sure why not.

Warbands:

Warbands is a new evergreen feature that will make a lot of things account bond, This will include Reputations going forward, and eventually they will work on legacy reputations. You will also get Warband gear that you can give to your alts to help them gear. You will have access to a Warband bank that allows you to store items and reagents as well as deposit gold, making it so you do not have to mail your alts gold anymore.

Delves:

Delves are instanced adventures that you will find in the open world that can be done solo or with friends, they are role agnostic and will scale to your group composition. They will be different with each run and are repeatable, these will be part of an open world gear progression system so they will, at their highest difficulty drop Heroic raid gear, likely on a lock out.

Hero Talents:

Hero talents are a new ever green feature that allows you to progress further in your talent trees, giving you different combat paths depending on your spec. Each spec will have two hero talent trees with ten Hero talents that you will get with each new level. These also include light fantasy elements from past Iconic WoW playstyles like Dark Ranger and Mountain Thane, just to name the ones they did at Blizzcon. There are previews of these you can find on WoWhead.

Dynamic Flying:

With the start of The War Within you’ll be able to use Dynamic Flying, the Dragon Riding system but now with your older mounts. You’ll be able to toggle them between Dynamic flying and old flying. Old Flying/Static flying will be unlocked not long after reaching Max level in the expansion.

You already said that you aren’t interested in the Earthen. So I hope this in someway helped!

There’s an entire internet, and a whole Youtube, and there was an entire Blizzcon with presentations and break-out groups, and there’s a World of Warcraft website called “worldofwarcraft.com”, and there’s still folks wanting us to do their homework for them.

I am not on the Marketing team.

have you tried reading about it? it’s on the front page of the website.

Because I asked, of course. but " don’t buy it" is a valid opinion too.

I just don’t really see a reason to convince you to buy a product that Blizzard seemingly hasn’t managed to persuade you about. Ultimately, it’s Blizzard’s job to interest buyers, which doesn’t seem to have been the case in your situation so far. So, I’d rather give my honest opinion instead of trying to justify the price they’re asking for what seems to be a rather lackluster expansion so far.

If they announce anything in the meantime that justifies the price, sure, I’d be happy to be convinced otherwise, but as it stands right now? Absolutely not.

wow is dirt cheap entertainment.

Havent been interested in promotional spin. I’m more interested in hearing what the community has to say. If I wanted to “google it” I would have.

Because it’s more wow. Buy it if you want to progress.

the “community” doesn’t know anything beyond what the website says.

You’ve shown enough interest by making this thread!

I don’t need to say any more as ultimately even if we did convince you either way today, you will be a very different person on TWW launch day.

Well i mean it might be overpriced to you, since other people are buying it, and product value seems to vary on the individual

We got…

Anduin and Thrall…

Kobolds…

New Scarlet Crusade…

New Blackrock Mountain…

Spider waifus…
