Seeing all the text for class changes in the anniversary post and then scrolling to the priest section... :*)

My strategic reserves of copium are almost depleted. My mantra of “there must be a rework on the way” is cold comfort, and I fear that, even should it be true, I may not live to see the promised day.

I wish all Priests could collectively work together to stop playing the game completely for a few weeks, then when Blizzard sees there are no priests logging or running keys, they’ll realize that Priest has its own forum and look at it for once.

Ever consider that means we’re in a good place? I don’t have any problems with the class at the moment.

Good for you.

The patch notes for 11.0.5 aren’t any longer then 11.0 for Priests.

The only good thing we got is Dracthyr because it bandaids out inability to counter knockbacks and gives us better mobility to get from a-to-z in raid.

This seasons also already cooked for Priest healers in M+. There’s 100 Resto Shamans with timed +12s for every 1 of us.

Kind of just on copium that Priests get an update in 11.0.7 or 11.1.

Well, at least now we can tell the enemy entropic rift from the Friendly one in PVP.

Our rework be damned. You must make sure there are different colours of it.

My dude plays on a backwater server, doesn’t raid, has never seen the outside of an 8 key and doesn’t take Lightweaver.

Just…ignore him.

I am glad for the game play you do that you are satisfied with the way the class is but …

The reality is you have no raid progression and just the minimum of KSM (and not judgement, we play the game the way we all want) BUT…You will find that higher keys and actually running the raid will give you some pause on that revelation. It is not impossible to excel at priest, but we are an old class with antiquated talents and no utility in a game that tailors its fights for healers the exact opposite of what we can provide.

I mean… not to throw shade… but when your avg key run goes around a +6 and you don’t even do raiding not even LFR then yea… priest is great for killing adds in the world and farming mats

If you can’t, i’m going to declare you legally blind.

I’ve been betting that there would be no changes till 11.1 since beta, because priests got their DF ‘reworks’ partway through the expansion.

It seems that’s going to be the case again.

Right, most of us aren’t even asking for much… We’re not asking to be the #1 Healer or even S-Tier.

I just want to move more efficiently and interrupt mobs – Cleansing Poisons and Curses would be a plus.

All 3 Priest Specs are in a decent place. Disc Priest is currently either the #1 or #2 healer for M+. Holy Priest is the best raid spot healer. Shadow Priest brings good single target/priority damage after the buffs.

I do think the talent trees could use some pruning but in terms of power priest is in a good spot.

I mean it’s 80% Resto Shamans, 10% Disc, and 10% everyone else on high keys. Disc and Resto Shamans are the only two viable on big-big keys because they can DR the group enough to survive the hits.

I’d argue priest is the worst class for this.
Awakening the Machine is the worst content I ever did on my priest.
Funny enough on my mage, ret and enhancer (edit: oh and my DH) i did not mind it at all.

For that is easier to just go disc. The Earthen basically never goes below 90% and you do enough damage to the mobs with your pet and voidreaver in general.

Really? I just faceroll through that content as a holy priest with not a single issue

I find it easier with holy as it does more dmg than disc

It’s not hard or anything.

But due to shadow crash being what it is, no way to spread dots, some mobs being turrets (literally aswell as figuratively) and them spawning all over the place, you spend a global per mob to dot just so you can AoE them down.

On other classes I just go in and face roll the mobs.
Its not hard. Just a miserable experience.

Mage just AoEs what ever runs into the middle and kills the turrets after. It doesn’t matter when the mobs arrive in the middle as the damage just continues.
My shaman (enhancer) just smashes the mobs who run in and throws lightning all over the place not really caring how stacked the mobs are.

On my priest I need them to be stacked which makes it kinda miserable.
I mean having insane spread AoE cleave but needing the mobs to be stacked every 20 seconds to apply the dots is kinda weird.

Fair but disc allows you not to have to switch between damage an dps for that encounter. Disc is just more fluid for me I guess.

People dont realize just HOW MUCH damage holy can do, but our talents are so screwed that we either go damage on one side o fthe tree or healing on the other. They just dont flow well together.

Plus having to stop damage to hard cast heals is a thing that sometimes in higher keys isnt the best.

I gave up on Priest. When they delete Shadowform or make us top tier for a raid instead of Mages, I may come back.

A Holy DPS spec would certainly help also.
